Circa: Mid-1900's
Condition: Very Good
Manufacturer: not marked (Germany)
This is a very nice, clean 6' folding rule, that has the fold away hook at one end, a handy feature for measuring end to end on long parts. This one is about 5/8" wide on each section, and has inch graduations on both sides. It is more heavy duty than most of these type of steel folding rules we have seen in the past, that were made in Germany. It is marked "MADE IN GERMANY". It is similar to the well known Lufkin steel rule No. 1176 in size and shape, but with a different design of joints on each section. This style joint works very well, and this used rule is in very good shape in the joints, steel sections area, with basically no wear on the graduation markings on each of the sections. We do note some very minor staining on a few of the section, but marked can be clearly seen. This is the first we have seen of this type in this nice of condition!. Well worth the price!
