Order Policies and FAQ: Anticus Antiques

PRICING: Please note that all prices are in U.S.DOLLARS. Credit Card Users: We can accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Diners Club Cards on our secure server. However, these are all subject to foreign exchange fluctuations. This means that, since we are based in New Zealand, we have to convert your purchase price to New Zealand dollars at the exchange rate on the day it is processed to our bank here. There is often a small difference in the exchange rate between the day it is processed by us, and the day your bank charges you. This fluctuation could be in your favour or not. All orders must be paid for in full within 10 days of initial invoice, or goods are returned to sale. We are unable to accept personal checks from countries outside New Zealand, however we can accept payment by Paypal. To pay by Paypal, you MUST be a verified Paypal user. We will also accept Cashier's Checks or Bank Drafts. If paying by money order, please ensure that only International Money Orders are used, (i.e. money orders that are drawn on US or English Banks, not a Post Office). Western Union is the most acceptable way to pay by Money Order.
Payment for some higher priced items may be required to be only through a verified Paypal account, or by Western Union Money Order or Bank Draft.. Shipping and handling are not included.

ORDER PROCESSING POLICY: After you submit your order, you will receive a computer-generated confirmation that your order was placed. If there are extra shipping, handling or other charges for your order, we will let you know the amount when the order is confirmed. If there are taxes that apply to your order, we will also let you know the amount at that time.

If you are paying by money order, your order will be held for seven (7) days. If payment is not received within that time, the hold will be removed from the item(s) and they will be returned to stock.
Item(s) paid for by money order are shipped 3 business days after receipt
If you are paying by credit card, your order will be shipped 3 business days after receipt
If you are using our option for a payment service, your order will be shipped 3 business days after receipt

All goods are posted by Air International, and should reach their destinations 5 -12 days after dispatch. Larger items such as furniture and artworks are sent by sea or air freight, and all quotes are submitted to you for approval before shipment.

SALES TAX: Since we are based in New Zealand, we do not charge taxes for any country except our own. New Zealand buyers must pay quoted price plus 12.5% GST.

OUR SHIPPING POLICY: Most items will be shipped by NZPost-Air. We may elect to ship by some other carrier and will notify you if that is the case. All smaller items are sent from New Zealand by Air Post International, as this has been found to be the cheapest and safest method. Larger items, such as furniture, are sent by sea freight or air freight. For sea and air freight, individual quotes will be supplied.

OUR RETURN POLICY: We're certain you'll be happy with your merchandise. We take extra care to fully describe our items, including any flaws. If you have any questions about the item(s) you are ordering, please use our question form to ask us about the item before placing your order.

If that rare occasion arises where you feel you must return an item, please contact us for return instructions within three (3) days (by phone or email) of receipt of your item(s). Upon our receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), we will issue a refund for your item(s) if returned in the same condition as it was when it was sent to you excluding any shipping/insurance costs for which you were responsible. Buyer is responsible for return shipping/insurance costs, which will not be reimbursed for any reason. Returned merchandise must be received by us within seven (7) days of the date from which you contact us regarding the return.

OUR RESTOCKING POLICY: Returned goods attract a 10% restocking fee.

OUR DAMAGE POLICY: We carry our own shipping insurance. If your goods arrive damaged you must contact us immediately. We will refund your purchase price, but in some cases may also require to have the damaged goods returned to us - at our expense. Do not throw away the original packing material and contents, or re-pack until you have heard from us, as you may need to present these to your local Post Office as proof of damage.
