This necklace has two sections of black shiny seed beads, each with 18 strands. The gold-tone flower clasp is very detailed, making this necklace a true beauty. There are no missing strands. Large Tiered Rhinestone Brooch and Earring Set
High quality tiered rhinestone brooch measures two inches across and just shy of one inch tall. The stones are so exceptional that I've tried for three days to capture their brilliance in different lighting, to no avail (and I didn't notice until today that the top stone has a chip off one side that is nearly invisible). Both the screw-back earrings and brooch are made of chaton-cut rhinestones with pear-shaped stones placed at corners. This is likely to be an unsigned Weiss or Eisenberg by the look of the superior stones. Book value $200.

Lime-Green Miriam Haskell Art Glass Earrings
Two tiers with the top made of pressed glass stone and clear rhinestones; and the bottom with a large marbled lime-green art glass stone.
The adjustable screw-back was an innovative earring clip that solved the discomfort caused by the French clips. Sandy Moss was able to generate interest in these clips which were originally patented in 1945 by Markus Jellinek. There where few that actually carried the patient number as well as the Haskell signature on a small metal circle. This just happens to be one of them. Lovely coloring in excellent condition other than some verdigris at the ear points from wear, which seems to brush off easily. Book value $200.

Basic pearl pieces have always been Haskell's bread and butter, and the large number of simple pearl pieces available in the market-place confirms the popularity of this line. This set combines the baroque pearls with emerald green crystal spacers on the 25" necklace, and forms a ring around the earrings. All pieces are marked and the clasp is decked with rhinestones.
This set is not in too bad of condition compared with most old pearl pieces; with some wear on the necklace that looks more like shadows. There appears to be tied string near the back of the necklace where it may have been repaired at one time. The earring pearls show more wear, with the largest flake being 1/16th of an inch. All in all, the set is in good condition and wearable as is.
