During that era a prized decoration was to combine two candles flanking a console bowl; the combination would have gone on a hall table or console table in the dining room, or used as a centerpiece. Fostoria made this between 1915 and 1928, so it is at least 80 years old. Back then people served multiple wines at dinner and the serving sizes were smaller than we often use today. This stem holds 2 3/4 ounces when filled to the brim, or about 2 ounces if you prefer not to spill.

Lovely wine is 5 1/4 inches tall and 2 3/8 inches across at the lip. Please be aware that the book Fostoria Stemware by Long and Seate describes the wine as 5 inches tall and holding 2 3/4 ounces.

Vase is 9 inches tall and has a lightly crimped lip. The foot is cone shaped and has rays on the underside and the body of the vase has Jeannette's beloved Iris pressed design. Best of all, vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, no cracks, no water spotting and virtually no wear. Vase has the usual straw marks and bits of extra glass that give depression glass its charm. There is a small raised blob of glass that is about 3/8 inch long that runs just below the rim that you need to know about as I wouldn't want you to think AAARRRGG! a chip! It's not a chip, just a slighly raised section. There are bits of glass on the underside of the bottom too.

Relish has three hemispherical sections and is about 6 5/8 inches across and 1 7/8 inches tall. It is in very good condition with a couple of tiny rough spots on the exterior vertical ribs.  

Candleholder is about 7 3/4 inches wide measuring at the widest point of the flared arms, 4 3/8 inches tall and the round base is just under 5 inches wide. Candleholder is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks and virtually no wear. The only thing to note is the lowest flared wings on the outside of each arm come to a sharp point. There is no damage but I wouldn't want you to be surprised. Please note that you are bidding on one candleholder that holds two candles.

This bowl is a little different size than the ones in my reference books. Measuring across the bowl is 8 1/2 inches wide, not counting the handles, and it is about 10 1/2 inches from handle tip to handle tip and 2 1/4 inches tall.
