Green Wood Handle Lemon Lime Squeezer Juicer Kitchen Utensil Gadget, 1927 Patent Date
Nifty old lemon or lime squeezer or juicer made of metal (we don't know if this is aluminum, steel or what metal) with nicely turned short painted green wood handles at the ends of the two arms. There are multiple small holes in the round end which holds the lemon to let the juice run through. There is no manufacturer marking, but on the interior of one of the metal arms is stamped lightly, "Patented Mar. 29 - 1927" and we would have guessed that this piece was from the 1920s-1940s period.
When closed, measures 5 3/8 inches in length, 1 5/8 inches greatest width across the diameter of where the lemon is held and about 1 1/2 inches in greatest height, also where the lemon is held. Very nice antique condition with some evidence of age, wear, use but not bad at all. The wood handles show wear/use via black spotting, a white dot, general wear and some spots where the paint has worn/worn thin where you can see some brown hinting through from underneath (doesn't look paint flaked, just worn thin). The metal looks very clean for its age from a distance, but on close inspection you can see age/use wear via spotting, general light tarnishing, some scratches, etc. There is some light rusting and some rust spots on the metal but nothing bad. A very good looking vintage piece which would make a nice addition to any collection of painted green wood handle kitchen collectibles, kitchen utensils or kitchen gadgets. Given the stamped patent date, could also be a nice addition to a collection of gadgets bearing patent dates. Lemon squeezer, Lime squeezer, Lemon Juicer, Lime Juicer.

Green Wood Handle Slicer Mincer Kitchen Utensil Gadget
This is a neat old kitchen collectible or utensil or gadget which would be used to slice something in thin strips, perhaps a dough slicer for pasta? We've also seen this called a mincer. It has a nicely turned wood handle painted green attached to a two part metal piece that has a row of round wheels which do the slicing. By pressing on a thumb tab which has impressed on it, "Press Thumb Here" you can lift or separate a metal backing piece which guides the circles but separates for easy cleaning (given the age, you do need to guide the circles into the slotted grooves, pressing the thumb tab does not center the wheels in the grooves). This piece also has a stand up guard to protect your thumb. There is no manufacturer marking and we guesstimate that this piece dates back to the 1920s-40s period. Be careful in handling as the wheels still have a sharp edge feel.
Measures about 7 1/2 inches in length with about 3 1/8 inches greatest width across the metal part and about 1 1/2 inches in height to the top of the circles when sitting on a table. Very nice old used aged condition but certainly not mint. The green wood handle is worn and dirty with black spotting/wear which you can see some of in the images, scratches and numerous tiny surface paint flaking/tiny chipping on the pointy circular edging and on the body of the handle (showing the natural wood color or white), and other general use wear. The metal portion (which we believe to be tin from the general darkening and tarnishing but don't know that for certain) shows expected tarnishing/aging over a good portion with black tarnish/spotting as well age darkening, much pitting/black dots on the metal cap which meets the wood handle and other general wear. There is some light rust on the metal cap and on the circular wheels. The cap also freely lifts up (it is not tight on the wood beneath it). None of this is unexpected for a vintage kitchen utensil and we judge this to reinforce its old used look and antique appearance. A nice addition to any collection of painted green wood handle kitchen collectibles, kitchen utensils or kitchen gadgets.

Red Wood Handle Slicer Mincer Kitchen Utensil Gadget
This is a neat old kitchen collectible or utensil or gadget which would be used to slice something in thin strips, perhaps a dough slicer for pasta? We've also seen this called a mincer. It has a nicely turned wood handle painted red attached to a two part metal piece that has a row of round wheels which do the slicing.
The red wood handle is worn and dirty with black spotting/wear as well as 3 white spots where the red paint has worn off which you can see in the topside image, scratches and surface flaking/tiny chipping on the pointy circular edging, and other general use wear. The metal portion (which we believe to be tin from the general darkening and tarnishing but don't know that for certain) shows expected tarnishing/aging with all over black tarnish/spotting as well age darkening, much pitting/black dots on the metal cap which meets the wood handle and other general wear. There is some light rust on the metal cap and on the circular wheels. The cap also freely lifts up (it is not tight on the wood beneath it). But none of this is unexpected for a vintage kitchen utensil and we judge this to reinforce its old used look and antique appearance. A nice addition to any collection of painted red wood handle kitchen collectibles, kitchen utensils or kitchen gadgets.

Bakelite Handle Brown Small Cheese Server
A small bakelite handle cheese server, similar in shape to the pie server but smaller. Measures about 6 5/8 inches in length, 1 7/16 inches greatest width across the metal and a depth to the handle of 3/8 inch. On one side at the base of the metal serving section is stamped the word, "Stainless". This piece does not have any chips, cracks or crazing but does show its age. On the handle there are very visible scratches which you can see some of in our close-up picture. The handle has much expected other wear, use and age flaws including lots of scuffed marks/rubbed areas/spotting and other general use/wear, including the bakelite looking worn at the lower side edge ends of the handle. The metal portion also shows surface wear including scratches, scuffed/rubbed areas, and a little bit of tiny edge chipping. Where the metal serving piece meets the metal knob in the handle on both sides, and surrounding where this knob meets the bakelite, there is a line of some bumpy dark/black substance which may be the old putty or whatever is holding these pieces into each other. Definitely an older used piece but in a not often seen smaller size, with the wear adding to the believability of 1940s/50's age. A good addition to any bakelite kitchen utensil or bakelite handle kitchen tool collection, or general grouping of bakelite collectibles or bakelite kitchen collectibles.

Bakelite Handle Brown Mottled Cheese Slicer with No Wire
A bakelite handle cheese slicer that is missing its cutting wire (the holes for the wire are here so a handy person could easily string their own wire through the piece to make it fully workable). This piece has a nicely curved handle in the mottled dark brown color. Measures about 7 1/2 inches in length, 3 1/8 inches greatest width across the metal cutting bar area and a depth to the handle of 3/4 inch. Good looking overall and very usable used condition, but definitely not mint. No major chips, cracks, or crazing, but much expected wear, use and age flaws including many noticeable scratches, scuffed marks/rubbed areas/spotting to handle, and other general use/wear to handle. The metal portion has a good bit of surface wear including scratches, scuffed/rubbed areas, wear spots/dots and tiny dots where there is flaking of the top metal surface. Definitely a used piece but it still has a nice bakelite look, with all this adding to the believability of 1950's age. A good addition to any bakelite kitchen utensil or bakelite handle kitchen tool collection, or general grouping of bakelite collectibles or bakelite kitchen collectibles.

Bakelite Handle Brown Mottled Cheese Slicer and Server
A nice bakelite handle piece that both slices the cheese and serves it at the same time, with a mottled brown or multi-color brown handle. As made, the handle angles upwards from the metal cheese slicer part for easier shaving or slicing of the cheese and is "flattened out" on the underside to sit comfortably on a serving plate. Measures about 8 3/4 inches in length, 3 1/8 inches in greatest width (width of the metal slicing part), and about 5/8 inch in depth to the handle. Good looking overall and very usable used condition, but not mint. No major chips, cracks, or crazing, but expected wear, use and age flaws including many scratches, scuffed marks/rubbed areas to handle, and other general use/wear to handle, and some scratches, scuffed/rubbed areas and some wear spots/dots on metal portion. There is a little bit of tiny denting to the outer edge of the metal piece and some spotting on the metal where it curves into the handle. Definitely a used piece but it still has that great bakelite look, with all this adding to the believability of 1950's age. A nifty addition to any bakelite kitchen utensil or bakelite handle kitchen tool collection, or general grouping of bakelite collectibles or bakelite kitchen collectibles.

Brown Mottled Bakelite Handle Angel Food Cake Slicer
A nice bakelite handle Angel Food Cake Slicer or Server in a multi-color brown or mottled brown color. While there are ranges of lighter butterscotch to dark brown coloring on both sides of the handle, overall the coloring looks a bit darker on one side than the other, as made. Measures about 10 1/2 inches in length, 3 3/4 inches in greatest width (width of the tines and attached metal bar), and about 7/16 inch in depth to the handle. Good looking overall and very usable used condition, but certainly not mint. No major chips, cracks, or crazing. But there is much expected wear, use and age flaws including many scratches, scuffed marks/rubbed areas and scaring to handle (including some indented tiny scar dots, we'd call these use wear scars or surface flakes or very tiny surface chips not along the edges but on the body of the handle, perhaps from being knocked in storage with other items in a drawer), and other general use/wear to handle, and scratches, scuffed/rubbed areas and some wear spots/dots on metal portion. You may be able to see in the images that the tines overall are not lined up "flatly" in a row, with a number of them slightly out of line up or downwards from the others, with two of these more out of line, the tine or prong second from the bottom and the one fourth from the top. This fourth tine also angles slightly forward to create a less even spacing between it and the tines on either side. The handle as made is not flat or "squared off" but is formed raised in the center body vertically on both sides. Definitely a used piece but it still has that great bakelite look, with all this adding to the believability of 1950's age. A nifty addition to any bakelite kitchen utensil or bakelite handle kitchen tool collection, or general grouping of bakelite collectibles or bakelite kitchen collectibles.

Black Bakelite Handle Angel Food Cake Slicer
A nice bakelite handle Angel Food Cake Slicer or Server in the harder to find black color. Measures 11 inches in length, 3 3/4 inches in greatest width (width of the tines and attached metal bar), and about 1/2 inch in depth to the handle. Good looking overall and very usable used condition, but certainly not mint. No major chips, cracks, or crazing, but expected wear, use and age flaws including many scratches, scuffed marks/rubbed areas to handle, and other general use/wear to handle, and scratches, scuffed/rubbed areas and some wear spots/dots on metal portion. You can see in the images one tine or prong, the second from the bottom, is slightly out of line with the others angling slightly downward, and the first four tines at the other top end seem slightly angled toward each other or not as far apart as the remainder of the tines/prongs. There is also a smooth but raised bump to the handle on one flat side, we're not sure why, but believe this is how it was made. Definitely a used piece but it still has that great bakelite look, with all this adding to the believability of 1950's age. A nice addition to any bakelite kitchen utensil or bakelite handle kitchen tool collection, or general grouping of bakelite collectibles or bakelite kitchen collectibles.

Bakelite Green Handle Butter Knife
A nice bakelite handle butter knife from a general flatware set with a rich green colored handle (not bright green nor olive green but a medium green color inbetween the two). This is a butter or general flatware knife; we do not have any other pieces from the set. The handle has a nice long triangular pattern molded into the bakelite with smooth edges to the raised ridges on both sides. Blade is likely stainless steel, but it is not marked so we don't know that for certain.
Measures 9 5/16 inches in length, about 3/4 inch in width at widest point for blade, 5/8 inch width at widest point for handle and 3/8 inch depth to handle. Overall nice, very usable condition but definitely not mint as this piece shows much evidence of use/general wear. On the handle there are no large chips, cracks, etc., but there are many scratches (some bigger than others and some appearing as whiteish lines), a few very tiny flakes/chips at the end of the handle, some dark dots, as well as other general wear/use evidence that you'll see when you inspect closely. Closer to the blade the handle has a center brownish look, particularly on one side where it looks like there is a horizontal small brownish line within the bakelite (we don't know what this is). The blade shows expected use wear via many scratches, some tiny dark dots, rubbed wear, etc. We don't know if this is how the knife was made but want to point out that, while fully attached, there is a very thin line of separation where the metal of the blade meets the bakelite handle...the metal is not "flush" against the bakelite but there is a small space between them (this ends up looking like a thin dark line between the two pieces).
Still a very usable piece if you are looking for another green bakelite handle butter knife for your bakelite flatware set.

Bakelite Handle Meat Lifter or Poultry Lifter
A neat bakelite handle kitchen utensil or tool or kitchen collectible which we believe is a meat lifter or a poultry lifter. This has two prongs widely spaced apart (about 2 1/4 inches between the prongs) which we think you inserted firmly into the cooked roast or poultry to aid in lifting it out of the cooking pan. While this could also be used to steady the meat, chicken or turkey while you were carving, like a carving fork, most carving forks we've seen have longer handles and the tines are no so widely spaced apart, leaving us to believe this is instead a lifting tool.
Measures about 8 1/2 inches in length, about 2 3/4 inches greatest width and about 7/8 inch in depth to the handle. The prongs are metal, likely stainless steel (although we don't know that for sure), with a nicely turned, smooth bakelite handle which curves upward slightly to fit well in your hand. Coloring to the bakelite is a marbled amber or butterscotch with brown, very pretty.
This piece has a terrific overall look and is in very nice, very usable condition, but not mint. The handle has expected use wear on close inspection, via tiny scratches, rubbed/worn spots, dings, and other wear evidence...nothing really bad and nothing that jumps out at you on display (no big chips, cracks, etc.) but you'll definitely see the wear evidence if you look. Metal prongs show similar evidence of wear/use with tiny scratches, etc....all nothing out of the ordinary for used pieces.
A nifty addition to any bakelite kitchen utensil or bakelite handle kitchen tool collection, or general grouping of bakelite collectibles or bakelite kitchen collectibles.
