Click for more detail...

16193

1950s Machine Age Metal Adjustable Desk Lamp This Mid Century Industrial style metal desk lamp is steel with a bronze colored finish. It has an adjustable floating head fixture and swivels to just about any position you need. It takes two 17 inch T8 tube bulbs.

The sturdy round base is 7-1/2 inches diameter. It doesn't take up a lot of desk or table space but it's quite heavy and will not tip over. The shade is 18-1/2 by 5-1/2", and the height is a little over 16 inches to the top if the shade when the brass tube neck is straight and the shade is level. The 5-1/2 foot brown cord has no damage or brittleness. The Bakelite plug is the old fashioned non-polarized type. The lamp has no markings that would identify the maker. The lamp lights up well, but it will only come with one bulb. I broke one while trying to look at the shade interior for any marks.

Click for more detail...

15474

Ruby and Clear Paneled Glass Table Lamp This pretty Mid Century glass table lamp has a flared vase shape body in alternating vertical panels of clear and ruby stained glass. Stacked knobby clear glass spacers form the center column, and the beaded brushed brass base mount is topped with an inverted glass circular piece in the same design as the flared body. The sharply angled pleated glass design looks familiar to me, perhaps Westmoreland, though my research didn't find anything very similar.

The lamp is a little over 3 feet high to the top of the harp finial. There is no shade. The cord is 6-1/2 feet long with a white Bakelite non-polarized plug - both are in good condition with no issues. The lamp has no chips, flakes, or other damage. The ruby stain has no scratches or flaking. For both shipping cost and safety reasons, I've taken the lamp apart (which enabled me to clean the glass so it's brighter and cleaner than the pictures show). The buyer will need a screwdriver and pliers to reassemble it upon arrival.

Click for more detail...

16286

Pink White Ceramic Sea Shell TV Table Lamp An elegant Mid Century ceramic studio TV or table lamp in the form of a pink and iridescent white queen conch seashell. The round base is 7-1/2 inches diameter, width is 11-1/2", and height is 9-1/2". It takes a C-7 light bulb (night light or Christmas tree type) and works well as shown. The 7-1/2 foot white cord has an inline wheel on/off switch. The lamp is in excellent condition with no chips, flakes, scratches, or damage. The underside is signed Ruth. Most of the shell lamps I've sold over the years are kind of meh in a kitschy sort of way, but this one is really unique and pretty.

14909

Pink Flowers Milk Glass Boudoir Table Lamp This pretty Mid Century milk glass table lamp has a graceful shape with hand painted pink flowers and green leaves. At 9-1/2 inches high to the top of the brass gallery by 4-3/4" diameter at the base, it's just the right size for a bedside table lamp. It's in excellent condition with no damage or paint loss, and it works. The 5-plus foot white cord and plug are also in good condition. There is no shade but suitable glass chimneys and shades are widely available - you'll need one with a 2-3/4" fitter base.

Click for more detail...

15782

Lighted Hanging Copper Kitchen Pot Rack Here is a nice hanging kitchen pot rack in solid copper with two electric lights. The oval grid is about 3 feet by 19 inches. The height is 12 inches not including the hanging loops or chains. Extending from either end of the top bar are two copper cone lights which take up to 60 watt bulbs. Two 3-foot copper hanging chains, an oval ceiling mount, seven copper hooks, and mounting instructions are included.

The pot rack was previously used and suffered some random scuffs and scratches when it was taken down and stored - see the closeup photos. There are also a couple of white paint marks but those should be easy to remove.

Click for more detail...

15431

Hanging Hurricane Style Lamp Painted Roses Shade This Mid Century Early American style hanging lamp has a ruffled milk glass dome shade with hand painted rose blossoms, tiny flower sprays, and leaves in shades of mauve pink, rusty red, olive, yellow, and a bit of blue. The chained metal frame is an antiqued brass color with a ribbed turned wood base with a faux distressed finish. The lamp's overall length is about 27 inches from the top to bottom rings. Width across the wire arms is 16 inches. The chained cord is about 5-1/2 feet.

The glass shade is 7 inches high by 11" diameter. The metal fitter ring is just under 10 inches (the shade's fitter ring is 9-1/2 inches). The lower edge of the shade has a few small, shallow flakes which are fully concealed by the frame ring. The lamp has no other damage or wear and it lights up well. See my other listings for a larger matching shade and frame with prisms.

Click for more detail...

13804

Hanging Stained Glass Lamp Crackle Glass Amber Globe This Mid Century stained glass swag type hanging lamp has a checkerboard or color block design of panels in striated amber and caramel slag glass. It measures over a foot high (not including the slight extension of the globe beyond the bottom opening) by 16-1/2 inches diameter. The round center light globe is 8 inch diameter in amber crackle glass with a super retro crocodile skin texture. The chained cord is a generous 15 feet long, with a dial type on/off switch at 8 feet. The plug is the old fashioned, non-polarized type. The cord has no breaks, splits, or repairs. The lamp has no chips, cracks, or damage and lights up fine. I have it safely wrapped and double boxed for shipping.

We've had numerous fires in our area over the past several weeks with very smoky air, which causes hazy, off-colored pictures, even indoors. The lamp looks nicer than my photos show.

Click for more detail...

16366

Norman Perry Blue White Chinoiserie Bottle Table Lamp Needs Base This attractive Mid Century Asian style ceramic table lamp was made by Norman Perry and is marked as such on the socket. The blue and white porcelain body is a 13 inch high by 8-1/2" wide flat snuff bottle shape with applied blue dragon handles. In the center is a scene of Chinese men, reversed on each side and not identical.

The lamp is missing its base, easily found in metal, marble, wood, and other materials at one of the many online lamp parts websites. All the other parts are present, including the working lamp cord, socket, threaded center pipe, and harp. There is no shade or harp finial. The made in Japan ceramic body is perfect with no damage or crazing. The 7 foot brown cord and plug are in good condition with no splits or brittleness.

Click for more detail...

15562

Bavarian Bristol 1950s Hanging Glass Pendant Lamp This elegant early 1950s hanging glass lamp is white cased glass with ornate enameled, gold leaf, and textured decoration. The label states it's Bavarian Bristol, made in Western Germany. Overall length is 30 inches (2-1/2 feet) from the top ring to the finial tip. The shade alone is 14" high by about 10 inches diameter at the shoulder.

The lamp will need to be rewired as the cord has been cut at the top. The canopy cap has wear to to the gold colored finish but the upper extension piece and the bottom fitting are not worn. The glass shade is in excellent condition with no damage. See my other listings for a coordinating Bristol table lamp, a glass shade, and hanging lamp wall bracket from the same estate.

Pair Hollywood Regency Cherub Prisms Table Lamps A pair of slender Mid Century Hollywood Regency style 1960s table lamps with cast gilt metal cherubs and crystal prisms. They're 27 inches high to the tops of the harps by 5-1/2 inches diameter across the brushed brass and marble bases. A crystal saucer bobeche on each lamp holds five double drop crystal prisms.

The shades shown in the second photo are not to included. The lamps work fine and are in good condition. There is some pinpoint tarnish speckling to the brass bases that almost looks intentional - I didn't try to remove it.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 13743: Victorian Hand Painted Parlor Lamp Converted to Electric

Click for more detail...

13743

Victorian Hand Painted Parlor Lamp Converted to Electric This lovely late Victorian era antique lamp base was likely a kerosene parlor lamp originally. Someone gave it a newer socket gallery fitting at the top to convert it to electric (it does work). It has a brass plated cast iron base and cast brass font crown. The opal glass font or body has hand painted poppy and daisy wildflowers decoration, a different view on each side. Embossed layered leaves painted pink decorate the shoulder of the font, with a smaller band of white leaves at the base.

The lamp is about 14 inches high to the top of the gallery by 9 inches across the base. The cord and plug are obviously not original but it lights up fine. The glass needs a better cleaning than what I gave it, particularly in the leaf crevices.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 13618: Mid Century Articulating 3 Arm Cast Brass Table Lamp

Click for more detail...

13618

Mid Century Articulating 3 Arm Cast Brass Table Lamp This Mid Century cast brass table lamp has a graceful, slender body and three articulating arms. There are no shades, so the buyer will get to custom design the lamp with glass or metal shades and shade holder fittings of their choice - places like Antique Lamp Supply have a good selection that attach above over the Leviton sockets, or you may wish to use a large dome shade that covers the arms.

The lamp is 33-1/2 inches high to the top of the finial, the scalloped base with Regency style embossed leaf decoration is 8-3/4" diameter. The adjustable arms are about a foot long when straight. The 8-plus foot cord is a bronze-gold color to match the lamp and the old fashioned, non-polarized plug is black rubber. The open underside base probably had a felt or similar covering originally, if so it's no longer present. The light works fine as shown and has no issues.

Click for more detail...

13687

Fenton Cased Honey Amber Table Lamp This Mid Century Early American style table lamp has a brass and wood base topped by a Fenton hobnail ruffled rim globe just above the harp and socket. The butterscotch colored glass is cased, white with a light amber overlay. This color, called Honey Amber, was made for only a few years in the early 1960s.

The lamp is 29 inches high to the top of the brass finial. The ruffled hobnail body is 5-1/2" diameter. The cream colored silk 6-panel flared shade is 11 inches high by 14" diameter at the bottom. It has no tears or stains. The brass base has some mild tarnish specks which should polish out. The old style non-polarized plug and cord are in good condition, and the lamp works as seen in the last photo. There is no damage.

Click for more detail...

8353

1950s Milk Glass Roses and Wood Large Table Lamp This 1950s table lamp coordinates well with Mid Century Early American or Colonial style decor. It has a reticulated brass and wood base topped with a beaded milk glass platform and a jar-shaped milk glass body decorated with hand painted rose buds on three sides. The roses are framed in raised leaf designs, and in between the roses are wagon wheel type shapes molded into the glass. The lamp is 28-1/2" tall to the top of the harp (not including the finial), 22" tall to the top of the socket. The glass body is about 9" diameter at the shoulder.

The lamp has a standard harp and small brass finial at the top. It works fine and the brown cord with non-polarized are in good condition. The wood spacers and base have a few very minor marks, otherwise the lamp is in excellent vintage condition.
