Pair Violets Porcelain Egg Cups A pair of white porcelain egg cups decorated with purple violets on both sides. They're 2-1/4" high by 1-3/4 inches across the rims. There are no marks, my guess would be they were made in Mid Century Japan. No damage or crazing.

Circa: 1950

Click for more detail...

15559

Ceramic Roses 1980s Tea or Coffee Set in Original Box This pink and green roses ceramic coffee or tea set appears to be unused. All eleven pieces (counting lids) are packed in their original plain box with foam packing inserts. Included are a coffee or tea pot with lid, four large 12 ounce mugs, creamer, sugar with lid, and pair of salt and pepper shakers. The coffee pot is about 8 inches high to the top of the rose blossom lid, the mugs are 3-3/4" high by 3-1/4" diameter.

Each glazed cream colored piece has embossed pink roses and green leaves on both sides. The set appears to be unused. However, the bottom of the coffee pot has a firing crack from manufacture (see fourth photo). All other pieces are in perfect condition with no signs of use or wear. The coffee pot is marked only with a foil Made in Taiwan label, the other pieces aren't marked. The set likely dates to the 1980s, possibly early 1990s. See my other listings for the matching set of kitchen canisters.

In excellent condition with no damage, design loss, or wear to the gold trim.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 15408: Japan Moss Rose Coffee Pot, Plates, Cups, Saucers

Click for more detail...

15408

Japan Moss Rose Coffee Pot, Plates, Cups, Saucers Several pieces of vintage Moss Rose porcelain china dinnerware from Japan. Moss Rose is a very old pattern originating in England and France. Many different Japan factories produced it for export to the USA from the 1930s through 1960s. This lot includes an 8 inch coffee (or tea) pot, a sugar bowl, 8" plate, 7-1/2" plate, and three footed teacup and saucer sets plus a fourth saucer. Most of the pieces aren't marked, but one saucer has a paper Made in Japan label, and the larger plate has a red M with crown Japan backstamp. It appears the coffee, sugar, cups and saucers are all from the same maker.

The sugar bowl lid has a chip at the lower back edge (last photo). All of the other pieces are in excellent condition with no damage. Only the plates have some very shallow, faint white stacking marks, barely noticeable. Price is for the set.

Click for more detail...

3600-3

Nasco Del Coronado Vegetables 15 Pc Salad Serving Set This ceramic salad serving set was made in the 1950s to early 1960s by Nasco of Japan as part of their Del Coronado line. Included are an 11-1/4 by 3 inch salad bowl, eight 7-1/4" plates, salt and pepper shakers, oil and vinegar cruets with cork lined stoppers, and wood salad fork and spoon. Each item is decorated with colorful raised hand painted vegetables - even the fork and spoon have painted veggies at the tips.

Some of the pieces have foil labels which read "Del Coronado, Nasco Japan". The salt and pepper shakers each have a tiny fleabite or glaze skip on the rims, and the wooden fork and spoon are dark from age and use. One plate has a tiny pinpoint fleabite on the rim. Everything else is in excellent condition with no damage.

Click for more detail...

12355

6 Pieces Oriental Landscape Scene Porcelain China Cups Plates Bowl Three plates, two teacups, a vegetable serving bowl, and a lid are what remains of this vintage hand painted Oriental scenic porcelain china dinnerware set. The scene on each gold-trimmed piece depicts a grassy, pine tree covered mountainside with three cottages. Below, a junk ship sails in the sea, in the far distance are snow capped mountain peaks.

The oval serving or vegetable bowl is 10-3/8 by 7-1/4 by 2-3/8 inches deep. The three plates are 6-1/4 inches diameter, the cups are almost 4" diameter across the rims by 2-3/8" high. The lid appears to be from a sugar bowl, 4-1/8" diameter. The porcelain is very nice quality with a see-through translucence when held to the light. All pieces are marked with two presumably Japanese characters in red. Everything is in excellent condition with no damage. Based on the style and shape of the bowl, I'm guessing the set dates to the 1930s, possibly 1940s.
