Gregorian Solid Copper Decorative Balance Scales
This is quite a rare item from Gregorian Copper, a decorative balance scale or scales of justice with a simple but pretty scrolly center support. It dates to the 1960s and still has its original copper metallic Gregorian label on the underside. It's just over 15" tall at the center with arms that extend 17" across. The domed copper base is 5-3/4" diameter. The two weights are 5-1/4" solid copper plates on copper tone finish metal chains.
It's in good vintage condition with some scuffing and spottiness to the base and plates. The plates have a few scratches to the finish but most are on the underside where they won't be seen.
Circa: 1960s

8 Piece Copper Cookware Set - Skillet Dutch Oven, Saucepans, Lids
This 8-piece set of stainless steel lined copper cookware was made in the early to mid 1980s in Korea. It includes a 9-1/2" diameter skillet, a 9-1/2" diameter by 3-3/4" deep dutch oven style cooking pot, 3 saucepans: 7-1/2", 6-1/8", and 3-3/8" diameter (butter warmer size). There are three lids to fit the large pot and skillet and the two larger saucepans. It was a moderately priced set when new, not professional quality but not the cheapest copper cookware you could buy either.
The cookware was never used on the stove as I had to remove the Made in Korea labels from the inside bottom of each pan when I cleaned them. However, there is some scratching to the bottoms from storage, and there must have been some water damage while stored as well. The undersides of the pans all have some corrosion and tarnish spots to the copper finish as shown in the closeup photos. The worst is on the bottom of the skillet and one side of the largest saucepan. This is of course simply cosmetic and does not affect the cooking performance - the insides of the pans are in good shape with no problems. Price reflects condition.

Solid Copper Delft Handle Coal Scuttle
This old copper coal scuttle is 14" tall to the top of the rim by more than 12" wide, about 17" high with the handle raised. The body has soldered seams and a solid copper base. There's a coffee cup in one of the photos to show scale. The hinged handle is heavy copper with a blue and white porcelain center handle. The cast brass handle at the back has the image of a cherub, the brass swing handle side mounts are leaf and flower cluster motifs. I can find no maker's marks but it's of European origin, at least 70 years old. More recent versions of copper scuttles have brass bases and (usually) lion head brass handle mounts.
The scuttle was well used and has a few shallow dents in the body, nothing out of proportion to its age and function. The inside is blackened with coal sediment and has some light verdigris. It displays wonderfully as you can see and looks great as a kindling holder on your fireplace hearth.
Circa: 1920s - 1930s
