Policies and FAQ

PRICING: Please note that all prices are in Please note that all prices are in U.S. Currency.. Shipping and handling are not included.

 

ORDER PROCESSING POLICY: After you submit your order, you will receive a computer-generated confirmation that your order was placed. If there are extra shipping, handling or other charges for your order, we will let you know the amount when the order is confirmed.
  • If you are paying by check or money order, your order will be held for seven (7) days. If payment is not received within that time, the hold will be removed from the item(s) and they will be returned to stock.
  • If payment is made by check, we will hold the item for you for an additional 10 to 15 days until our bank clears your check. Current applicable fees will be charged in cases of bounced checks.
  • Item(s) paid for by money order are shipped within seven (7) business days. (NOTE: processing does not include shipping.)
  • If you are using our option for a payment service, your order will be shipped within seven (7) business days. (NOTE: processing does not include shipping.)
All PERSONAL CHECKS are accepted through PAYPAL ONLY and will be subject to "clearing notification" from Paypal before item is mailed. Cashier's Checks and US POSTAL SERVICE money orderS are also accepted. These forms of payment must be received within 7 calendar days from purchase. If payment is not received within that time, the hold will be removed from the items and the merchandise will be returned to stock. Cottage Heirlooms is a small business, therefore, all monetary transactions must clear before the order is processed. Credit Cards generally take two business days to post and checks 7-10 business days. We regret any inconvenience this policy imposes but it is important to provide everyone the best possible service with the best prices.

 

SALES TAX: Sales tax (6.125%) is calculated for Kentucky residents unless a valid (KY) Sales Tax Exemption Certificate is presented.

 

OUR SHIPPING POLICY: Most items will be shipped by USPS-PriorityIns. We may elect to ship by some other carrier and will notify you if that is the case. We ship NEW ITEMS internationally to Alaska,Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. We also ship to APO addresses. Other international orders will be evaluated on a one-on-one basis. Please contact before placing your order to receive specific shipping/handling charges.

 

OUR RETURN POLICY: We're certain you'll be happy with your merchandise. We take extra care to fully describe our items, including any flaws. If you have any questions about the item(s) you are ordering, please use our question form to ask us about the item before placing your order.

If that rare occasion arises where you feel you must return an item, please contact us for return instructions within three (3) days (by phone or email) of receipt of your item(s). Upon our receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), we will issue a refund for your item(s) if returned in the same condition as it was when it was sent to you excluding any shipping/insurance costs for which you were responsible. Buyer is responsible for return shipping/insurance costs, which will not be reimbursed for any reason. Returned merchandise must be received by us within seven (7) days of the date from which you contact us regarding the return.

 

OUR RESTOCKING POLICY: We presently do not charge restocking fees if the order is cancelled within three (3) business days of submitting the order. Any order cancelled after this time for any reason will be subject to a 20% restocking/handling fee.

CANCELLATION OF ORDERS

We are committed to fulfilling all responsibilities to our customers and we work extremely hard to meet your needs. "New items" are shipped DIRECT from a fulfillment center through trusted vendors. These vendors work with us to see that your items are shipped timely.

A tracking number should be forwarded to you within seven (7) business days.. If you do not receive the number please advise so that we can track the process to determine the delay. Your order should be received within ten calendar days are less once the tracking number is received. Again, if it is not received during this time period, please let us know.

Any shipment reported missing will immediately be tracked and it is our commitment to report back to you within seven (7) business days. Upon initiating the research and tracking, if the package is not tracked to you, a new shipment will automatically be initiated without added costs to the customer.

We do everything possible to assure your order processes smoothly, in return we ask that you provide us the courtesy in fulfilling our obligation to you in following through with delivery of this item.

 

OUR DAMAGE POLICY: You must contact Cottage Heirlooms within three (3) calendar days (by phone or email) of receipt of your item. You will be provided a RETURN AUTHORIZATION CODE prior to shipping item(s) back. REMEMBER, you must contact us before returning any items! Upon our receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), we will issue a refund for your item(s) if returned in the same condition as it was when it was sent to you excluding any shipping/insurance costs for which you were responsible. [Please note the buyer is responsible for return shipping/insurance costs which will not be reimbursed for any reason.] Returned merchandise must be received by us within seven (7) calendar days of the date from which you contact us regarding the return. Credit will be processed within 14 days of return.

 

PERSONAL CHECKS Personal checks are accepted through PAYPAL ONLY. Cashier's checks and/or U.S. POSTAL SERVICE MONEY ORDERS must be mailed and received within 7 CALENDAR DAYS of Your PURCHASE NOTIFICATION.
