This is an antique Victorian oil nature scene oil painting on canvas. The focus of the painting is a handsome buck in a beautiful natural setting. The back is standing in an icy stream. Snow covers the ground. The painting is in excellent original condition, except that near the top center there are two tears in the canvas and the bottom right has some paint loss. Antique wood and decorative gesso frame. The frame has some gesso missing in lower left corner. Original wire hanger. Circa 1890’s.

Large Landscape Oil Painting on Canvas of Covered Bridge / Artist: J. Tompkins / Salmagundi Art Club
This is a wonderful large landscape oil painting on canvas, signed by the artist, "J. Tompkins". On the back of the stretcher is the original "Salmagundi Art Club" label. This artist must have been a member of the Salmagundi Club. The focus of the painting is the antique covered bridge and its reflection in the water. There are some amusing details the artist included in the painting, such as the fish jumping out of the water after a dragonfly. Also, there’s an owl perched in a tree in the upper right hand corner; and just below the ‘Chew Mail Pouch’ sign is the artist’s initials, "J.T.". I wonder if the initials are really carved there? This very appealing oil painting is in excellent original condition. Original wire hanger. Circa 1930’s - 1940’s.

Antique Victorian Primitive Farmyard Landscape Winter Scene Oil Painting on Canvas / Artist: Jeslhke Greve Hauff / JGH 1871
This is a delightful and captivating antique Victorian Primitive farmyard landscape winter scene oil painting on canvas. This picturesque snowy scene draws your eye to an enchanting homestead. The artist has included many endearing details that depict a cozy family farm in winter. Everything is blanketed along with the lush landscape in snow. There are cattle near the forefront and a woman and child walking towards the bridge. There are several interesting buildings and an island with a house in the distance. This is a wonderful Victorian winter scene from 1871. Wonderful colors and depth. Very fine details throughout. The painting is initialed by the artist, "JGH" and dated "1871". The initials are printed, not script. The initials can be found on the front of the canvas, at the bottom center, near the base of the tree. I have been told that the artist’s name is "Jeslhke Greve Hauff" and he is a listed artist. However, I have not been able to find any information on this artist to confirm this. There is very slight paint loss in the bottom center of canvas, otherwise the oil painting is in excellent original condition. Original wood and fancy gesso frame. This beautiful antique frame has a few chips here and there and retains the original gold gilt finish. Original wire hanger. Circa 1871.

Rare 1975 XLong Panoramic Print of Amsterdam, Holland, Filled w/ Elaborate Cityscape / Architectural Scenes / Artist: Volders
This is a very interesting, extra long print of a panoramic view of Amsterdam, Holland in 1975. There are wonderful, fine details throughout. This rare print of Amsterdam is filled with elaborate and delightful scenes. Fascinating and captivating describe this unusual print. There is so much activity going on in this picture. There are nuns walking a school of children...a couple happily hugging and kissing...hitchhikers walking...a hobo begging for money, as a man drops a coin in his hat, people selling from a hot dog stand...people waiting for the bus...some admiring the river scene...a tourist taking pictures...a man carrying his fishing poles and bait box...other confused tourists looking at a long map as though they're lost...those waiting for the train...those riding bicycles...two men fishing, others dining across the river, a man reading the paper, families holding hands, a man riding a horse, hikers hiking large backpacks...and many waiting to get on the sightseeing boat from the dock. Each person in this picture is seen doing something different. How interesting! This awesome print would make a wonderful conversation piece! The print is signed by the artist in the lower right corner, "Volders". The artist paid meticulous attention to capturing the allure, appeal, and energy of this great legendary city. Circa 1975. There is also an emblem with words in the top right corner with two lions and a crown. - (see photo) There are other words written on signs throughout the background of this piece such as..."Rondvaart", "Bergmann", "KLM", "Mercurius", "Kassa", "Play In", "Snack Corner", "Haring Lekker En Gezond", "Hot Dogs", "Broodje Haring", Amstel Pils", Hasekamrs Zeer Oude Genever", and "F Van Vettewinkel". The print is in excellent original condition. The original wood frame retains its original black finish and is also in excellent original condition. Original glass, original paper backing with label, and original wire hanger. Circa 1975.

Pair of Charming Antique Victorian German Girl & Boy Children Prints “A Secret” & “I am the Master”
This is an outstanding, charming pair of antique Victorian German prints that are full of character and emotion. The children's faces are truly captivating. The period clothing and the children's stance and expressions are heart-warming. These prints are both in excellent original condition, except the picture of the little boy has a tiny piece of the print on the boys hat, sticking to the glass. Both prints have very faint water stains. They retain their original antique wavy glass and molded wood frames in original, old creamy white finish. They both have original brass plaques with German titles. The title of the girl and boy print reads, "Ein Geheimnis". Translates to, "A Secret". The title of the boy with apron print reads, "Ich bin der Meister". Translates to, "I am the Master". The backing is a very old oil cloth. The hangers are original. These are wonderful and enchanting antique Victorian prints. Circa 1900.

This is an interesting oil painting on canvas of a charming cottage in a lush forest landscape. The colors and textures are wonderful. The way the sunlight filters into the forest creates an enchanting picture. The signature of this listed artist is in the lower left hand corner of the canvas. Hard to make out. There are also two more signatures, one on the back-side of the canvas and another on the wood backing. Not sure if they match the signature on the front. This is a charming pair of romantic antique Victorian prints of a man and woman by famous artist and illustrator, Anna Whelan Betts. Exquisite details throughout. Elaborate, ornate, Victorian clothing and accessories. The couples have beautiful expressive faces. Bright vivid colors. One picture features an interior view of a man and woman separating yarns. You can see that the woman has needle-pointed a beautiful scene with flora and fauna. The other picture features an exterior view of a man and woman in a lovely Victorian garden. The man is resting on a sundial and they are surrounded by an abundance of lush greenery with roses and lilacs. Butterflies adorn the beautiful garden flowers. The bottom of both prints have the copyright and publisher. It reads, "Copyright 1905 By F.A. Stokes Co., Printed in America". Both pictures are in excellent original condition, except that the garden picture has a very tiny mark in the upper left. It blends and is barely noticeable at all. X-Large Biblical Antique Oil Painting on Canvas, Daniel in the Lions Den, Fancy Gesso Frame / Signed by Artist
This is a very large and intriguing, late 19th century oil painting on canvas. The picture appears to be the famous biblical scene of Daniel in the Lions Den. This painting has a lavish interior scene with an oriental influence. Interesting details and bright, vibrant, rich colors throughout. The canvas is signed by the artist (indiscernible) in the lower right hand corner. (see photo) Possibly reads, "McClan" or "McClain". The canvas of this fascinating oil painting has been re-stretched. The painting is in excellent original condition, but appears to have a clear coat of varnish and there is one tiny tear in the canvas on the lions whiskers that has been taped from the back. The painting has a slightly crazed finish throughout and a small hazy spot on the right side. The issues above do not detract from the overall appearance. This beautiful painting is in its original, decorative, and very elaborate fancy floral gesso wood frame. The frame retains its original old gold finish. Some age-appropriate wear. Old wire hanger. Circa 1890‘s.
