Stanley Yankee Phillips Screwdriver Magnetic Adapter No. 31A , 131A

Have a North Brothers, or Stanley Yankee Spiral Ratchet Screwdriver? Need a Philips head bit for it? This adapter is for standard 1/4" Hex drive bits, giving you the ability to buy any type head (hex tip) or length head you wish (hex bits are found at any hardware store). We offer both magnetic and non-magnetic type adapters on this website. This adapter is magnetic and magnetizes the hex tip so you can hold the steel screw on the tip without holding it with your fingers. This model also have the spring clip that holds the hex tip snuggly inside the adapter.

This adapter is made in the USA and comes in two shank sizes on the Yankee connecting end, this one is .312 (5/16") diameter for the No. 31A and 131A and some other models as well. I also have one smaller size shank type available at this site. On the hex end there is a coil spring the grasps the hex bit when it is inserted keeping it from falling out. (Don't use bits that are stepped down as they will become stuck in the adapter. Small notches are fine, like the ones shown in the pictures. You also get one hex drive Philips bit with each adapter (the slot head bit is not included). A real nice addition to your bits for a Yankee screwdriver! Made in U.S.A..

Circa: 2015

T34811

Diamond Calk Horseshoe Double Ended Adjustable Wrench This is a  nice clean, used, antique double ended adjustable wrench marked "10 IN. DIAMOND CALK HORSESHOE CO. 12 IN. DULUTH MINN DIAMOND TOOL-STEEL DROP-FORGED MADE IN U.S.A." in raised cast lettering on the handle. This wrench is 12.2" long, and has the 10 jaw type on one end, and the 12" jaw type on the opposite end. There is minor wear noted around the jaws, not bad, in very good, usable condition, no rust, with very good jaw alignment, some minor edge dings, some minor pitting on the 12" end mostly.  We also note that there are three letters stamped on the 12" end "WHS" Both heads adjust smoothly.  We note that 10" end knurl is like new, where the 12" end knurl has some wear, but very good working order. A nice clean vintage wrench from the 1920's-30's era! Diamond Horseshoe Co. and Diamond Calk and Horseshoe Co. are one in the same. The design is so close to that of the Crescent Tool Co., one wonders if the two companies were connected in some way. Yet we find no evidence of this in any records regarding these quality tool making companies. We can't find any history about Diamond Tool or Diamond Calk after early 1950. This is the first one of these that I have seen in this size in several years, quite rare!
Circa: 1920's-1940's
Condition: Good++
