make a good living by treating people right and giving them
good value. Our name is synonymous with credibility."
than 50 years ago, Harry Schoenberg began his business as a
pawnbroker in downtown Brooklyn. He quickly gained a
reputation as a man of his word in a time when deals were
sealed with a simple handshake. Working with jewelry more and
more, Harry developed a serious interest in the jewelry
business. He began HPS jewelers in 1980, moving the business
to Manhattan's original jewelry district in the Bowery area.
His son, Alan, and daughter, Susan, diamond-grading graduates
of the Gemological Institute of America, later joined him in
his quest to make HPS the best estate jeweler in N.Y.
The Schoenbergs travel the country and Europe in search of
unique and beautiful items, buying from and selling to the
clientele within the jewelry trade and selling to individuals
looking for the unusual and unique one of a kind pieces. As
members of the Estate Jewelers
Association of America and the International
Jewelry Association, both Susan and Alan continue to
share in their father's mission of giving people personalized
attention and great value in their jewelry purchases. HPS
sells at six jewelry shows a year, including the
original Miami Beach show, the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry and
Watch Show, and the Atlantique Show in Atlantic City.
HPS stands behind each and every piece
of jewelry they sell and take pride in the confidence their
clients have in them. Whether buying from or selling to a
customer, a personal relationship is formed.
"Most of our business is
from satisfied customers who come back to us again and again
because of our selection, our personal service, and most
important, a high level of trust. We look forward to working
