Hall China Company arose from the bankruptcy of the East Liverpool Pottery Company in East Liverpool, Ohio in 1903. The company mostly sold smaller china accessories such as mugs, jugs, bed pans, and other utilitarian wares. Dinnerware was first introduced in 1908, stopped being manufactured in 1914, and restarted in 1936. Hall also produced advertising "premiums" for merchants such as Grand Union, General Electric, Great American Tea Co. Standard Coffee, Hotpoint, and the Jewel Tea Company. The famous Autumn Leaf pattern produced for Jewel Tea and the Red Poppy pattern produced for Grand Union were two of the most popular lines Hall China ever produced. Despite a history full of ups and downs, Hall China continues in operation today, manufacturing restaurant and commercial grade china.

CD105

Small Yellow Hall Boston Tea Pot Small 1, 11/2, or 2 cup (I haven't taken time to figure it out!) tea pot in what looks like the "Boston" line. That chrome tip makes me wonder if this wasn't intended for some kind of commercial service. In Hall's yellow color. Some damage to interior rim (see photo) and the chrome tip is pitted (see photo). A real cutie.
Condition: Good; some inside rim damage
Manufacturer: Hall China
