She is from the "Hanging Bell Girl" series circa 1976. There are three different bells in different poses. Hanging Bell Girl with Baby Jesus Hanging Bell Girl with Christmas Wreath Hanging Bell Girl with Candle Lantern ~Pictured in the Josef Original book "Figurines of Muriel Josef George" on page 84 ~Valued at $55. *Hard to Find* ~She is 4 inches tall and has beautiful hand painted details including gold tipped wings. ~Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Bell clapper is perfect and works. There is a hole through her bow in the back with a gold thread attached for hanging her on the tree. The detailing on these vintage figurines is so wonderful! This adorable and very rare "Miniature Music Box" series of "Happy Birthday" girls would make anyone happy. There are usually 12 of any birthday series but these are so "Hard to Find" I have never seen all of them. Such beautiful hand painted details including the life like faces and plenty of gold trim. Each is carrying a gold trimmed bouquet of her flowers with a Happy Birthday ribbon. Each girl is wearing the color associated with her birth month that all Josef birthday series do. A gold bow adorns her upswept hair. She is quite a beauty! Made by Muriel Josef George circa 1960. Pictured in the Josef Original book "Charming Figurines" on page 87. *This is "March" She is dressed in aqua and is carrying a bouquet of yellow daffodils with gold dots for the centers ~4.5 inches tall ~Excellent "Vintage" condition with no chips cracks or repairs. *There is a fleabite on the back of the gold bow in her hair that could easily be covered with gold ceramic paint. I didn't notice it until I was listing her. Won't detract or be seen when displayed. ~She has her original black & gold "Josef Originals" and "Japan" stickers ~Music still plays! "Happy Birthday" Just be careful and wind her up gently. She would delight any music box or birthday girl collector or be the perfect start for either. Colors are still vivid.
