Holiday Ornaments

You can easily make these beautiful ornaments. All you do is wrap Lion Brand Chenille Thick and Quick around styrofoam balls, then decorate them by gluing fun things on them.

Decorating these ornaments can be a lot of fun. For instance, we used sequin and bead trimmings. You can use anything you’d like to decorate them.

These ornaments take very little time and make great gifts.  You can make small ones and use them for package decorations, too!

• One 100 yd. skein of Lion Brand Art. No. 950 Chenille Thick and Quick Yarn in a solid color. (If you decide to use more than one color, you will need a skein of each.) [Note: Chenille Thick and Quick Prints are 75 yds.]

• 5" styrofoam balls (or size of your choice)
• Glue or glue gun
• Scissors
• Decorative items

1. Begin at the top of your ball and carefully and evenly wrap yarn around and around it. Each time you do a wrap, be sure to cross the yarn over when you reach both the top and bottom of the ball. This will form the mount on each end. Glue the yarn securely where you start and end your wrapping.

2. Glue your decorations on the balls.
