DPNs size 10 (6.00 mm) or SIZES TO OBTAIN GAUGE

14 St sts = 4 on #10 needle
STITCH EXPLANATIONS
M1 (make 1) An increase worked by lifting the horizontal thread
lying between the needles and placing it onto the left needle. Work this
new stitch through the back loop.
Sl 2 kwise-k1-p2sso Slip 2 stitches together knitwise (as though to
knit), knit 1, pass 2 slipped stitches over the knit stitch = centered
double decrease.
HAT
Using smaller needles, loosely cast on 70 sts. Place marker to indicate
beg of rnd.
Rnds 1-7 K1, p1 rib.
Rnd 8 * K2, M1 , rep from * across the rnd (105 sts).
Rnd 9 Change to larger needles and work in St st for 3 1/2.
Crown Decrease as follows (change to DPNs when necessary):

sts. K 1 rnd.

large dinner plate.
SCARF
With larger needles, cast on 29 sts.
Row 1 Working back and forth, k1, *p1, k1; rep from *.
Repeat Row 1 for 76. Bind off.
Finishing Laying scarf flat, fold up 8 on each side to form
pockets. Sew sides in place invisibly.
