STITCH EXPLANATION
ssk (slip, slip, knit) Slip the next 2 sts as if to knit, one at a
time, to right needle; insert left needle the fronts of these 2 sts and k
them tog.
Note All shaping decreases are done inside garter stitch (k every row)
borders.
BACK
With smaller needles, cast on 63 (70, 77, 84) sts. Knit 6 rows. Change
to larger needles. Beg with a purl row, work St st until piece measures 11
(10˝, 12, 11 ˝)" from beg, ending after a RS row.
Armhole Borders: Row 1 (WS) K 5, purl to last 5 sts, k 5. Row 2
Knit. Row 3 K 6, purl to last 6 sts, k 6. Row 4 Knit Row 5 K 7, purl to
last 7 sts, k 7.
Shape Armholes: Row 1 (RS) Bind off 3 sts, k to end.
Row 2 Bind off 3 sts, k 3 sts (4 sts on right needle), purl to last 4

Neck and Second Shoulder With the RS facing, join yarn and bind

LEFT FRONT
With smaller needles, cast on 31 (35, 39, 42) sts. Knit 6 rows. Change
to larger needles. Row 1 (WS) K 4, purl. Row 2 Knit Rep Rows 1-2 until
piece measures 11 (10˝, 12, 11 ˝)" from beg, ending after a RS row.
Armhole Borders:
Row 1 (WS) K 4, purl to last 5 sts, k 5.

1" from bottom; 3 buttons evenly between.
RIGHT FRONT
Work as for Left Front, rev shaping. AT SAME TIME, work buttonholes
opposite markers on left front as follows (RS) K 2, yo, k2tog, knit
FINISHING
Sew shoulder and side seams. Weave in ends. Sew on buttons.
