FINISHING:
Assembly:
With cast-on corners touching at center of block, join 4 squares to form a 14 1/2" square block (leaves radiate from center out to corners of block). Make 12 blocks. Join blocks to form a panel, 3 blocks by 4 blocks.
Border: On RS, using circular needle, pick up and k 180 sts (30 sts for each square) across one narrow end of panel. Work in garter st (k each row) and inc 1 st each end of every other row. Work until there are 8 ridges (16 rows) on RS. Bind off on next WS row. Repeat on other narrow end of panel. Work in same manner, picking up 240 sts along each side edge. Neatly sew shaped border edges together to form mitered corners.
