Three patterns are included:
MATERIALS:
GAUGE: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4" in St st. TO INSURE PROPER SIZE, BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
STITCH EXPLANATION: Cable (worked over 10 sts):
Row 1: (RS): P 2, sl 3 sts onto cable needle and hold in back, k 3, then k 3 from cable needle,
p 2.
Rows 2-4: Work sts as they appear. Rep Rows 1-4 for Cable Pat.
CABLE COVER:
With A, cast on 36 sts. Work in
k 1, p 1 ribbing for 9 inches, inc 14 sts evenly spaced across last row 50 sts.

Body:
Row 1: (RS): K 20 sts, work Cable Pat Row 1 on next 10 sts, k 20 sts.
Row 2: (WS): P 20 sts, work Cable Pat Row 2 on next 10 sts, p 20 sts.
Row 3: K 20 sts, work Cable Pat Row 3 on next 10 sts, k 20 sts.
Row 4: P 20 sts, work Cable Pat Row 4 on next 10 sts, p 20 sts. Rep these last 4 rows until 36 rows of Body have been
completed. Cut yarn, leaving an 18" end for sewing. Thread yarn end and slip each st separately from knitting needle onto yarn;
gather the sts tightly and secure end.
Duplicate Stitch

Tassel Instructions
1. Wrap yarn around 6" length of cardboard 100 times.
2. To create twisted cord, cut (2) 36" lengths of yarn, knot ends together. Hold knotted end in one hand, and with the other
hand, twist yarn until taut. Grhtml center of twisted yarn and allow yarn to twist. Knot open end.
3. Thread twisted cord in
tapestry needle, thread through top of tassel, and tie tightly. Cut other end open to remove cardboard.
4. Using a 2 yard length of yarn folded in half, wrap yarn around tassel tightly several times about 3/4" below top knot, and
knot.
FINISHING: Sew back seam. Using B and following number chart, duplicate stitch the number 5 to center of back, beg the bottom of the number 10 rows above ribbing. With A, make a tassel approx 4-5² long. With A, crochet a chain approx 3² long and attach to end of tassel. Sew tassel with chain to top of cover.
MATERIALS:
LION BRAND® Wool-Ease, Art. No. 620: 1 ball each #152 Oxford Grey (A) and #102 Ranch Red (B), small amount #99 Fisherman (C) or three 3 oz. colors of your choice. (Note: Solid, heather, sprinkles, and twist colors come in 3-oz. balls; prints, frosts, and glitter/multi colors come in 2.5 oz. balls).
Knitting needles size 4 U.S. (3.50 mm) OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Stitch markers.
Tapestry needle.
Bobbins.
GAUGE: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4in St st. TO INSURE PROPER SIZE, BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
NOTES: Wind A and B onto separate bobbins. Work each separate block of color with a separate bobbin. When changing colors following chart, twist yarns together on wrong side to prevent holes. Embroider as instructed with C in duplicate stitch after piece is knit.

ARGYLE COVER: With A, cast on 36 sts. Work in k 1, p 1 ribbing, inc 9 sts evenly spaced across last row 45 sts.
Body:
Rows 1-4: Beg on RS with a k row, work in St st for 4 rows.
Row 5 (RS): With A k 15 sts; place a marker, follow argyle chart Row 1 for next 15 sts, place a marker, with A k 15 sts.
Cont in St st as est until argyle chart has been completed. With A, cont in St st for 5 rows. Cut yarn, leaving an 18² end for
sewing. Thread yarn end and slip each st separately from knitting needle onto yarn; gather sts tightly and secure end.
Basic
Pom-Pom Instructions:
Step A: Wrap yarn around Pom-Pom Maker or around stiff cardboard. The direction you wrap the yarn in will be the width of your completed pom-pom, the more wraps, the fuller your pom-pom.
Step B: Carefully remove the cardboard. Tie an 8" double strand of yarn tightly around the center.
Step C: Cut ends. Holding the two pieces of yarn where you tied it, shake the strands until they are fluffed out.
Step D: Trim into a circle.
FINISHING: Sew back seam. Using C and following number chart, duplicate stitch the number 1 to center of back, beg the bottom of the number 10 rows above ribbing. With B, make a Pom-Pom and sew to top of cover.

INITIALS COVER: With A, cast on 36 sts. Work in k 1, p 1 ribbing for 26 rows. Cont in ribbing working 6 rows B, 4 rows A, 6 rows C, 4 rows A, 6 rows B, then cont with A until ribbing measures 9", inc 8 sts evenly spaced across last row 44 sts.

Body: Beg on RS with a k row, work in St st for 36 rows. Cut yarn, leaving an 18² end for sewing. Thread yarn end and slip each st separately from knitting needle onto yarn; gather sts tightly and secure end.
FINISHING: Using B and following initials chart, duplicate stitch GDW or initials of your choice to center of front, beg the bottom of the initial 10 rows above ribbing. Sew back seam. Using C and following number chart, duplicate stitch the number 3 to the center of back, beg bottom of number 10 rows above ribbing. Using B and C, make a Pom-Pom and sew to top of cover.
