1932 Composition TRIXIETTE Patsyette Doll Freundlich Antique 9.5" Freundlich Trixiette Patsyette All Composition Painted Face Doll
Made by Ralph A. Freundlich Dolls 1929-1945

Here is Trixiette, a 9.5" jointed composition doll that is an Effanbee Patsy Ann lookalike. She is actually a lookalike to the Patsyette, there her name Trixiette.

She is unmarked, painted features, jointed head, arms and legs. She is a cruder composition than Effanbee. She has high seam lines on the sides of the legs. She does have the bent arm like the Patsy dolls.

Her original dress was a blue organdy dress with a white cotton combination under it. And original shoes were tie shoes with white cotton socks. I don't have her original box but the original box advertises her as TRIXIETTE The DOLL That does a MILLION "TRIX"

She has beautiful blonde hair with curls at the bangs and the side of face curls.

Painted blue eyes. She of course, has some flaws, especially for her age. Her composition is intact however.
She has the unusual bangs that have a curl at the end which identify her as Trixiette. I have not seen another Patsy type with these curls except her.
Circa: Around 1932

Antique Valentine - No 7 Stand Up Cut Out Dear Girl This is small, but cute.
Made in U.S.A. by C J.G.H. and is No. 7
It is a die cut folding stand up valentine. Features a girl pointing and two more kids below.
I LOVE YOU
To a dear little girl!

Written Rosalie on the back who was born in 1913, so the card could be from 1914 on.

Measures approx. 5 x 2.5 inches.
There are several different numbered series of cards marked by the initials J.G.H. All feature figures with similarly drawn features: short, bobbed hair, noses hardly here, and small mouths with blushing cheeks. There are many standing cards that fold in a variety of ways often having peek-a-boo cut-outs or an opening flap. Also to be found are postcards with Diamond - H Line marked on the reverse. Each postcard design is numbered. There are at least eight of them. The cards and postcards appear to date to the 1920s, perhaps into the 1930s.

Who or what those initials may stand for I have not come across. It most is likely an American artist and/or publisher as the cards are usually marked made in the USA.

Circa: 1920's
Manufacturer: J.G.H.
