Red Carpet 1930s Velvet, Beaded Evening Gown
If you have a red carpet event planned, this is the dress to wear. Glamor, style and elegance is to be had in this soft, soft black velvet rhinestone and beaded evening gown. You'll feel like Hollywood royalty.
Cut on the bias, this velvet gown is form fitting and flattering. The sheer top gives it the illusion of being a strapless dress with a plunging back so popular in the 30's and again today.
The top which measures 34/36 inches is trimmed with rhinestones and silver bugle beads around the neckline and then down the front in an art deco design. The back is breathtaking with a plunging beaded and rhinestone decoration that goes nearly 13 inches down the back. The sheer sleeves are full for 16 inches to just above the elbow where the sleeve narrows and a rhinestone and bugle bead decoration starts. The narrow sleeves end at the wrist with 4 buttons and a ruffle.
The front of the gown is slightly gathered and closes at the waist with snaps and hooks and eyes. The skirt is form fitting until just above the knee approximately 18 inches from the hem where it flairs. The back is slightly longer than the front for a completely regal effect. The dress is 56 inches long from neckline to hem. The measurements are 34/36 inches from armhole to armhole; waist 27/38 inches and the hip measurement is approximately 34/36 inches.
There is some minor bead loss but it does not detract from the gown. I have rarely had a vintage gown in this good condition. It is completely wearable and will make you feel like a queen. If you are a collector or have a red carpet event, this gown is not to be missed.

Vintage 50's Crinoline Can-Can Petticoat
Here is a great 1950's crinoline half-slip or petticoat. This can-can will make your 1950's dresses complete.
The elastic waist expands from 19 inches to 32 inches. The hip will expand to 36 inches. The nylon upper part measures 27 inches from the waist to the 3 full layers of netting, ribbon and lace. This could even be worn over a swimsuit to add that extra zing at the beach. The color is a creamy white and it looks to be in very, very good condition. Don't let this one get away.

Fabulous 1950's Bronze Prom/Evening Dress
Calling all Sex and the City fans. Here's a dress worthy of Carrie's New York nights. This 1950's full-skirted prom or evening dress is both fun and elegant.
It is a bronze colored satin dress and jacket. The full skirt has 2 layers of netting over a full satin underskirt. The top, which could be worn strapless or with spaghetti straps, is highlighted with netting. The over jacket is superb. The neckline is trimmed with netting and there are 4 snap closures on the front of the jacket. The buttons are purely decorative. The short 3/4 length sleeves are gathered just above the elbow. Overall this is one fabulous dress.
The jacket waist measures 26 inches; the jacket sleeve measures 14 inches from the neckline and the jacket is 18 inches long from the top of the neckline to the jacket hem.
The dress measures 26 inch waist; 32 inch bust and 34 inches from the waist to the hem. The hips are full. There is a 13 inch side metal zipper.
There is some discoloration under the jacket underarms but it is not noticeable when worn. The front underskirt has a 3 inch stain which I did not even see until I took the closeup photos. The stain is in the folds of the skirt and probably would lighten up or disappear by a good dry cleaner. The dress has been tried on twice by models and no one even noticed.
