Vintage English “Workbox” Candy Tin
Charming vintage English candy tin in the form of a sewing workbox, decorated with flowers and leaves on the top against a geometric background. It is stamped "Geo. Bassett & Co. Ltd., Manufacturing Confectioners, Portland Street, Sheffield". It is 8 3/8" x 5" x 2 ½" high. Overall good condition, there is some use wear to the outside and rust on the interior (see photo). Wonderfully decorative, it would be a great addition to a collection of tins or sewing items.

Vintage Tapemeasure With Roses
Sweet little vintage metal tape measure with a rose decorated top. It is 1 ½" diameter by just under ½" high. The tape is 40" long and retracts by pushing a button on the bottom of the measure; it has inches on one side and centimeters on the other. It’s in good condition, with just some fraying on the edge. I bought this in England and would date it to the 1950s.

Vintage U.P. Thread and Needle Holder with Thimble
Interesting vintage English thread holder in a mottled brown plastic that might be bakelite (the dealer I bought it from said it was, but I don’t know for sure). The center post has a thimble on top which comes off to reveal a needle holder. It is approximately 3" high by 4 ¼" diameter and in excellent condition. On the base it is stamped "Cotton Reel Holder Incorporating Needle Holder and Thimble. Made in England by U.P."

Edwardian Treen Pincushion
Sweet little carved wood pincushion with tiny brass handles and it’s original velvet top. I bought it in England and would date it to C1900. It’s appx. 3" diameter including the handles and 2" high. There is a seam on one side from when it was make and a couple of lines in the wood, but otherwise it’s fine.

Antique Ship Figural Pincushion
Unusual ship or boat figural pincushion. Made of white metal, it is in the form of a speedboat racing along on the waves. Original cloth pincushion. It measures 4" long and is about 1 ½" high to the top of the cushion. I bought it in England and would date it to about 1910. As you can see in the photos, there is some age discoloration on the boat, but this might clean up with some polish and elbow grease. No marks at all.

Ornate Silver Pincushion With Cherubs and Birds C1900
Lovely silver pincushion C1900 with an ornate design of cherubs and birds. It has it’s original velvet top and stands on sweet little feet. It measures 2 ½" diameter and stands 1 ¾" high. Marked as shown on the base, but I can’t make these out. Purchased in England, I would date it to about the turn of the last century.

Antique Leather and Velvet Pin Keep
Super antique leather pin keep in the shape of a cross with its original velvet lining and small brass hook. It is 2 ½" across and ½" high and in excellent condition; I can’t see any damage at all. There’s a very small amount of wear to the velvet, but I would expect that. I bought it in England and would date it to about 1910.

Adorable vintage English octagonal candy or biscuit tin in the form of a sewing workbox, with a faux bois finish and an embossed top with a basket of flowers. The interior has a small fixed tray to hold sewing items. Overall very nice condition, with just some use wear, primarily to the interior. It measures 8 ¼" x 6" x 2 3/8" high. No markings at all, but I bought it in England and would date it to the 1920s-1930s.
