It is our pleasure to offer this lovely cast iron door knocker for sale at Picker's Treasures. This heavy old piece measures almost 6 inches high by 5 inches wide and has a wonderful, somewhat unusual pattern to its ornate casting. The ring is heavy and will surely make a loud enough sound to let you know someone is at the door. Great looking old Victorian salvage.

Old Victorian Cast Iron Door Knocker - great age patina
This antique cast iron door knocker measures 9 1/2 Inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide. A very heavy, impressive looking piece with great Victorian designs and a large ring for knocking against the base to let your friends know there is someone at the door. We've gently steel wooled the finish to remove just a little of the dirt, but left the age patina alone. We also replaced the pin that holds the hammer or ring in place because the original was almost rusted away and we did not want your knocker to fall off the first time someone tried to use it. Not much chance that will happen for a few decades at the least

Old Brass Door Knocker - lovely age patina - Heavy pc.
Here's a very nice antique brass door knocker with mounting bolt. This old door knocker is what I would call traditional in it's style, but with size, weight and appeal far above the majority of traditional pieces. For one thing, this piece is solid brass and very heavy. A well made knocker indeed, but even more impressive is the wonderful deep color of its age patina. Seldom are we fortunate enough to find one of these that has not had its character polished away by someone with a desire to 'clean it up.' This great old brass knocker measures 4 1/2 x 5 inches and comes with its original large brass mounting bolt. A really classic piece.

Victorian style Door Bell Brass - Turn Bell
This beautiful Victorian-era brass Door Bell was found wrapped in paper in a box marked display, which was purchased at a local auction. Not only is this lovely bell a real eye catcher, it also has a wonderful sound, which is produced when the handle is turned. The bell will fit a door up to a thickness of 2 inches. The bell part measures 4 inches in diameter and the handle is 2 1/2 inches. The mounting screws are included. I don't know how old this bell might be, but it looks like new and yet at the same time it looks like something from a time long ago. What a lovely gift it would be.

Santa Claus - Hand painted Decoration
As promised, here is another fine example of the work of C. Keck. Yes, I know Santa figurines are available everywhere. Most are mass-produced and sell for almost nothing. Others really are one of a kind, well made pieces, but few compare to the skill displayed in this wonderful Santa figure. This nine inch tall Santa Clause figurine began as green ware, which after being cleaned is then placed into a kiln and heated to incredibly high temperatures. Finally the piece is beautifully hand painted in details that insure no two pieces are ever exactly alike. As you can see, the end result of this painstaking work is the lovely Santa seen here, which has been done by an artist who also happens to be our very good friend C. Keck. As this figure clearly shows, Ms. Keck is highly skilled in the art of fine detail. It is as though her touch has given this figure it's own individual personality. If I had a month to paint just one piece, I could not even come close to matching the skill of this artist. This Christmas, add this truly special Santa to your collection of holiday decorations. I promise he will be the star of the show.

Unusal Door Knocker - Castle? Coliseum? Ancient Ruins..
A very unique old doorknocker made of solid brass depicting the ruins of some huge old structure. Is it the coliseum, or the ruins of an ancient castle? Perhaps some part of Greek or Italian history? This item came from someone to whom it was passed on to as a family heirloom, but the person had no interest in antiques, so their loss is now our good fortune, because this is really a neat old knocker. It measures 6 1/2 inches high and weighs about 8 oz, but feels heavier than that. A great piece to hang on your castle, or to give to someone special.

Solid Brass Victorian Door Bell
This lovely Victorian Doorbell was found in the back room storage area of an old hardware business which had closed long ago and was recently sold at auction. The bell is almost like new except for some light discoloration caused due to it having been a display piece and had been touched by many of the people who once frequented the business. As Twist Door Bell's go, this is a very nice one. The brass is heavy and highly decorated and the bell is large and has a wonderful full sound to its ring. There was a time when these gorgeous old brass turn bells could be found on nearly everyone’s front door. The bell measures 4 inches wide and measures 5-1/2 inches long to the ends of the decoratively scrolled mounting flanges. The ringer will accomodate up to a 2 inch thick door. Remember how everyone asked to be the one to ring the bell? This fine bell would make a very special gift for someone special to you.

Antique W & C Scott and Son 12 ga. SxS Hammer Shotgun
WE ASK YOU TO PLEASE NOTE: WE CAN NOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS THROUGH PAYPAL FOR ANY OF OUR ANTIQUE FIREARMS. PLEASE PAY BY CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY. THANK YOU. JM
Starting as far back as the early 1840’s and continuing all the way up and through the turn of the century, if a person wanted to buy a top of the line side by side hammer shotgun, they almost always wanted a gun that had been built, tested and proofed in the town of Birmingham England. In those days Birmingham was home to some of the best known, most innovative gun makers in all the world, and right up there with the very best were William and Charles Scott. W & C Scott opened there shop in the year 1840 and in no time at all, had earned a reputation for making among the finest double barrel shotguns in the world. In the early 1850’s, William’s son joined the company and the word son was added to the company name. From then all the way up to 1898, when W & C Scott and Son joined P Webley and Son,to form Webley and Scott, and on for decades to come, a shotgun that carried the Scott name, was without a doubt a gun prized and praised by some fortunate gun owner. Picker’s Treasures is extremely proud to offer to our customers this fine example of the legendary pre-1898 double barrel shotguns made in Birmingham England by W & C Scott and Son. This old 12 gauge hammer gun is proof positive that the Scott's were indeed among Birmingham’s finest gun makers. Even after more than one hundred years, the action and lockup on this old shotgun remains solid, tight and true. Then there’s the engraving and that engraving, my friends, is true artwork. The fine line detailing is still incredibly clear and sharp. Look closely at this fine workmanship. You'll rarely, if ever, see better work than this. Yes there are a few bumps and bruises, but less than one might expect to find on such an old time hammer gun as this. A small chip in the toe of the butt stock…. A littler bit of black powder pitting in the barrels….. I bet we've all seen worse than this in guns that were made less than one year ago, so any shotgun that has lasted more than one hundred and ten years can be excused having a bruise or two, right? <smile> If you know antique shotguns, you know this is one of the really nice ones and wouldn’t such a fine antique make a truly wonderful gift for someone special?
Please note: This is a true antique, pre 1898 black powder firearm and as such is considered a collectible antique under Federal Law. Please be aware that some states have differing laws pertaining to old firearms. You are responsible to know the laws of your state of residence before purchasing this or any other antique weapon. Thank you.

Amazing - Wild Boar Stock - 1850's Muzzleloader
I can honestly say in all the years that have gone by since I fell in love with my first antique gun, NOTHING has ever struck me as being as incredible or amazing as this little side by side 16 gauge muzzleloader. The shotgun itself is really just a canvas where a truly gifted artist has left a sample of his work for all to see. Every time I look at the intricate carving on this wild boar I shake my head in disbelief. How could anyone have been so talented as to carve this wondrous animal and all the other details surrounding him, and then fail to place his name on his amazing work of art? If any magazine or periodical or coffee table book ever wants the perfect example of Folk Art sculpted in wood, this my friends would be the perfect choice. I guess I have raved long enough for now, so let me fill in a few blanks. The gun itself is sound and all original. It shows a lot of use and wear and is pitted and worn with age. The hammers work, but not well enough to ever risk firing. I can find no markings topside and I simply refuse to risk taking the gun apart in hopes of finding any. Perhaps hidden somewhere beneath the hardware a name or mark could be found, but the work is just too exceptional for me to tamper with in any way. This is a smallish sized double barrel. It measures only 39 inches tip to tail and the barrels are just 24 inches long. The gauge would be about 16 and I have based my theory that the gun is of German decent on the style of locks and other features I have seen in antique firearms made in the same era in Germany. The bottom line? This is not a gun. Not any longer. This is a work of art and probably should be hung in some great museum for all the world to see and admire, but until someone makes that possible, or like me, hangs it on the wall to stare at in disbelief whenever I walk by, this beautiful old piece will remain available to folks like you and me. Maybe that's

Here is a wonderful cast aluminum Angel made in Wrightsville Penna. by John Wright. The angel measures 19 1/4 inches in length x 4 1/2 inches tall x 1 1/8 inches wide. An absolutely perfect sized weathervane figure to display on your deck, gazebo, fence or rooftop. You may even like this lovely vane so much that you prefer to show off this angel as an interior accent. On the mantel, or a side tables, or maybe that nook with the light you have wanted to show off but haven't found just the right thing...... until now? Intricately designed, this hand painted weathervane is a lovely folk art piece. Since it is made from cast aluminum, it will never rust. Signed on the bottom and dated 1990, this beautiful John Wright piece is well worth adding to your collection. And besides, it never hurts to have an angel or two close by, right? <smile> JM

Rare Antique Victorian Turn Bell - Brass - C1870's
Talk about beautiful. To me, this piece is beauty in the extreme. This old Victorian Turn bell has a gorgeous age patina as well as a good deal of some very old black paint that once had covered the entire bell. Your visitors will turn the key on the outside of your front door and hear this great 3 inch domed brass bell signaling there arrival to those inside the house. This old bell probably dates to about the late 1870's, but it still works great. The mellow sound of this charming conversation starter will make you smile each time you hear it ring.

Rare Brass Trolley Bell - SF Co. - Use for Door Bell
Strait from the Estate Auction comes this really unique solid brass trolley bell. The small label on the inside back says Gatco Solid Brass and the bell mountings are stamped S.F. Co. on top and bottom. On the end of the Chain is stamped replica of a Trolley Car Train. The bell itself is dome shaped and measures about 4 5/8 inches in diameter. Overall the piece is almost 10 inches tall by 4 5/8 inches wide. Being made of solid brass it is heavy. This great looking old bell would have been mounted on the ceiling of a trolley car just above and right of the driver's head and he would pull the chain to signal upcoming stops to his passengers. I doubt many of you have a trolley car that's in need of a bell, but wouldn't this brass hand operated bell make a great doorbell on the front door of your home? That would certainly make for a good and immediate topic for conversation with your guests.
