Alice Caviness Hand-carved Sterling Shell Cameo Brooch
Very nice hand-carved shell cameo is signed Alice Caviness, Sterling Germany on applied plaques. The setting is gold plated over sterling in a lovely open-weave design with the cameo surrounded by open loops.
The cameo is of a young woman with her hair pulled up into a pony tail and probably dates to the 1960s or 70s. There is a dark spot at the base of her neck and the rest is a soft ivory color on a pale peach background. The carving is very nicely detailed.

Golden Wedding Cake Cabochon Earrings
Great early pair of clip earrings, marked Made in Italy, set with a large cabochon of Venetian glass lampworked in "Wedding Cake" style. Called wedding cake beads because they are so elaborate, these earrings have a gold wash over a clear base, then are onamented with pink roses, and pink and blue swirls.
