All of this, situated in a 200+ year old farmhouse in the scenic lakes and mountains of New Hampshire, define a unique shop called Remember When, conveniently located in Bristol NH on Route 104, 5 miles west of exit 23 off Route 93. Our specialties include:
For the bead lover, Remember When features a wide selection of vintage glass beads, especially from Czechoslovakia & Germany. We also offer hand-crafted, painted, and figural beads designed and created by the New Hampshire artists at Sweet Relish Charms. Our zillions of beads at prices ranging from a nickel to $15 offer a variety to suit any style and budget. Design assistance, restringing, custom design, and redesign of your older beaded jewelry are also available.
For the designer or button collector, we also offer a broad spectrum of both vintage and newer buttons.
....Our specialties include early magazines, documents, advertising and books - thousands of volumes in all categories are on display in the barn.
In the farmhouse is a whole room filled with a fabulous assortment of costume jewelry - from Victorian to 1950s. Each piece gives a glimpse into the time when it was created.
Also in the farmhouse are salt & pepper shakers, teapots, and other neat old stuff.
Our shop is affordable, informative, & fun. And to add to the adventure, negotiating is often the order of the day--you never know unless you ask. We have a reference library available for your browsing pleasure and information. Something to sell?--bring it along, we're always looking for new merchandise. Dealers are always welcome.
