Presentation Trough, 1st Baptist Church, NY This silverplate presentation trough was given to James B. Colgate for his participation in laying the cornerstone for the 1st Baptist Church, Tarreytown, New York, 1875. Among names listed on the building committee is Charles Olmsted, whom we believe could well be related to the renown landscaper, Frederick Law Olmsted. The handle appears to be made of bone and has one long crack down one side. Otherwise, condition is very good. It measures 10 1/2 inches long. A great piece of history.
