Alcock Pink Transfeware 9 1/2 Inch Plate, JAPANESE, c. 1830 - 59
Here is a fine 9 1/2 inch Staffordshire pink transferware plate with a floral pattern entitled Japanese. The stylistic design features two major blooms in a trapezoidal base. The surround has parrots and scrolled images. Some areas are pink with white scrolling while others have dark scrolling in shades of purple against the pink. The parrots appear on the white parts of the surround.
The pink tone of this plate tends toward the purple side rather than the red side.
It is marked with pattern name and pottery initials. Condition is excellent - no flaws.

Staffordshire Blue Transferware VegetableTureen, VERONA
The vegetable tureen presented measures 10 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches tall. It has a classic pattern entitled Verona. An image of a statue and classic vases appear in a formal garden setting. Bands of foliates frame the scene around the lid's rim. The same band appears on the exterior of the pedestaled base. The interior has a scene similar to thelid. It is surrouded by scenic reserves that are separated by foliates and scrolls.
Condition is excellent - no chips, cracks, hairlines, stains, or restoration. The exact potter is unknown. It is marked only with pattern name. By its characteristics, we would date this one to the 1840 -60 period.

Large , Early, & Rare Staffordshire Blue Transferware Fruit Bowl, Classic Pattern
This rare and lovely Staffordshire blue transfer fruit bowl measures 13 inches long by 5 inches tall. The pattern on the interior and exterior is that of moss-like foliates. In the center of the well is the image of a classic vase.
Note the three-lobed cut-out design on the sides and on the ruffled top. The handles on each side are nicely embossed.
One seldom finds an item as scarce as this in such excellent condition. It has one tiny flake on the underside of one handle, small and insignificant. See the picture.
This bowl dates to the 1815 - 25 period. In is marked with an imprint, "Imperial Stone." The imprint is very close to the edge of the piece. We believe the word "China" was therefore omitted from the imprint. Wares marked with the term, Imperial Stone China, are known to date to the 1815 - 25 period.
