Handwoven Rag Rug, Recycled Fabric - Cobalt Blue
---I purchased a set of cobalt and white checked curtains at an estate sale that looked brand new. I thought they might work in my sister's kitchen, but the size was wrong, so I cut them up and turned them into this pretty blue rag rug! There are tiny orangey red berries scattered across the white checks that peek out here and there. The warp threads of blue and yellow form lengthwise stripes that end in fringe of the same colors. A very sunny looking rag rug!

Handwoven Rag Rug - Pastel Blue
---I used a print of narrow pastel blue stripes accented with tiny pink rosebuds to weave this pretty pale blue rug. The rosebuds are nearly lost in the weaving but peek out here and there. Blue and yellow stripes run the length of the rug and end in fringe of the same colors. It has that much-loved-and-laundered look that Grandma's rugs always had. I don't often weave pastel rugs, but I really like the way this one turned out, so maybe I'll try some more.
