This is a dough cutter made by the Edward Katzinger Co. in Chicago, Illinois. It has wooden handles and is 13" long. The diameter of the roller is 5". It rolls smoothly. There is wear to the metal as seen in the pictures. My guess is that it was used in a bakery since Edward Katzinger originally made nothing but pie tins for bakeries. I haven't a clue what the dough being cut was used for and if someone knows, please e-mail me. I'm sure it dates back to 1920 or earlier before the company became Ekco in the 1940s. This is an unique piece of Kitchenalia, so if you're a collector of Primitive kitchen items, this is a must buy!!!!! |
