From the wonderful The Hardy Boys book series written by Franklin W. Dixon and published by Grosset & Dunlap. This is book #39, 'The Mystery of the Chinese Junk'. It has the desirable 'blue binding' (turquoise blue), and is a hardcover edition without dust jacket (as sold). We believe this to be a 1960s edition of this book, and has a copyright date of 1960 and tan/brown/white pictorial inner cover pages. Book measures 5 1/8 x 7 5/8 inches. We have another copy of this book which we are listing as "A".

We actually are listing many others of these hard cover "blue binding" Hardy Boys books (including multiple copies of some books). The books appear to come from different editions of this set, based on slight differences in their covers. The books are all being sold separately; you can buy the one you need to complete your collection, or several to start one!

This #39 book does not appear to be an updated version of the original 1960 issue. It does not have a statement on the back of the title page indicating anything has been updated as occurs in many others of these books.

The condition of this #39 book is very good. It has been read or used and is not mint, but still in very good shape. There is slight edge wear and corner bumping or wear on the outside covers, and other slight small dirt, wear spots or rubbing on the covers, including slight dirt/darkening on the outer bottom and side edge pages. Interior pages are clean, white and tight. There is a pencil number written on the first inside page. Nothing overly bad or unexpected. A highly usable, nice reading copy.
