Hopalong Cassidy first appeared in the Clarence E. Milford book published in 1907. The first Hoppy movie was made in 1934, with William Boyd as Hoppy. Later, with the movies and tv series of the 1950's era, various Hoppy products were introduced, one of which is this original Hopalong Cassidy medium blue pencil pouch with silver graphic and zipper. Overall, measures 8 1/4 inches x 3 3/8 inches. The graphic is worn, but easily recognizable. Hoppy's nose, eyes, mouth can be seen as thin silver lines. There are some scratches and stains in the vinyl, but they don't detract. (see photos; last one shows stitching) The zipper stitching is wearing out on the outside, but still in place and could probably be carefully repaired. I say carefully because the zipper is literally hanging on pretty much by the inner stitches! I didn't want to muck around with this too much, lest I dislodge the zipper. My brother was nutso for cowboys, Hoppy included, so I'm guessing that this was his, i.e., a family item which is now semi-antique. I've seen only one of these online, and the graphic was not visible, though seller said that it was there! Buyer pays 1 lb. shipping. # 575
Celluloid was made in the 1920's and 1930's mainly in the U.S. and Japan. The process resulted in finely detailed, hollow, delicate pieces of which this is a great example. This piece is marked with a mark indicative of viscaloid. Measures 4 long and 2 1/2 to the tip of the horn Condition: No cracks, splits or dents. Excellent condition. Made in Tokyo Japan

Appears to have some kind of a friction or centrifugal drive. In good condition. An internet search helped me arrive at the price as obviously I know very little about this toy.

I am not sure if these vintage white cotton christening gowns were originally made for real babies, or for dolls. The first is 21-1/2 inches long from shoulder to hem. It has vertical rows of pintucking below the neckline and pink satin insertion ribbon at the front and back on either side of the pintucks. The ribbon has a repeating birds in flight design woven into it. Little white embroidered flowers alternate with the ribbon decoration. The same type of pink ribbon but more narrow gathers the sleeves. There is no back closure, I believe this was done on purpose for ease in dressing and undressing the baby. The dress hem has decorative pink satin french knot embroidery. This dress appears to have never been used and has its original sizing, no stains or tears. The second christening gown has white-on-white eyelet flower embroidery and is about 21 inches long. The hem is unfinished, just raw fabric, and the back opening also has no closures. Though a little creased from storage, this dress too appears unused with its original sizing, no damage or stains. They are nicer and prettier than the photos show, though both have been in storage for many years and will need airing out or laundering due to a mild linen-closet smell. Any yellowish or shadowed areas to the fabric are from the lighting - both are pure white.
This pair of marionettes are dressed in uniform with their sword and shields. There are two one has long hair and the other short hair. I am selling them as a set I believe these to be actual late 18th century or early 19th century Sicilian Rod Puppets. Both are different sizes one BODY is 25 inches tall without the rod. The other is 24 inches tall without the rod. Their rods are attached as you can see in the photos. They are made of wood, metal and cloth and I believe the hand-painted faces and the hands are made of wood. Condition need to be restrung and the garments are original but are brittle cloth. (that doesn't bother me because they are original)

No instructions, no clamp. one name plate missing. However, internally it is clean, and still appears to work, as handle goes round and needle goes up and down just fine. Foot and foot plate could be sanded clean with fine gauge wire wool. Appears to be circa 1960s in style. Selling on behalf.
