Vintage Chef cheese sifter. This item is pottery, not ceramic. Has cork stopper; I replaced the stopper from the other cork stopper because it was falling apart. I think this is American Bisque even though it is not shown in my book. Am. Bisque made a lot of chef items, including cookie jars and condiment jars. If it were a Japan item it would likely be ceramic, not pottery. It stands 7.75 tall. No cracks; a couple of tiny fleabites along backside bottom rim; see pic #6; those are magnified closeups of the fleabites; in reality they are not too visible.
