This vintage Zenith model R82 AM-FM portable radio has two TV bands to receive television sound broadcasts, though I'm not sure if they are operable nowadays with the advent of digital TV. The radio has an included detachable AC cord, or it can operate on four size C batteries. It also has a lift-up handle and fold-down expandable antenna. It measures 9-1/2 by 7 inches by 2-3/4 inches deep. It's in good condition and plays well, though my rural location has lousy radio reception in general. I assume the radio dates to the late 1960s or 1970s based on the following printed on the back Manufacture in Taiwan to the standards and specifications of Zenith Radio Corp., Chicago USA .
Daystrom Weston Model 6701 Chart Recorder Boat Anchor
Vintage and rare, DAYSTROM Weston Model 6701 Type 1 Chart Recorder. Its very clean unit inside and out, complete except the plug. This was Estate sale purchase, and we had to unbolt it after we purchased. The cord was already cut. We think it was made in the late 1950's. I do not have akey to the locking front door but it opens and closed fine. You can tell this was well taken care of. Although we cant warrent if it works, I really would be surprised if it didnt. All the tube are in place, and the gears look, well they look new ! Its very heavy and qualifies as a boat anchor. It records to paper, electrical events, which can be anything that can be represented as an electrical signal, be it temperature, mechanical position, voltage, current, etc. Measures about 16 by 15 by 13 inches. Weighs around 50 pounds
This wonderful Sears Silvertone radio is working great as it has been gone through my electrical service and parts replacement procedure and any failing parts replaced. The model number information is missing from this radio but from the looks of the electronic design, it most certainly was from the early 1950's. There is a Sears & Roebuck metal tag on the back stating the radio chassis number is 132.818-1. The case of the radio is metal and someone has repainted it but looks great. There is an antenna wire that can be unfolded and hung down behind a table to increase reception. This is a very compact little unit and fun to have around. There are no numbers on the radio dial knob so you just have to dial the knob until you recognize the station. That isn't hard as this radio only brings in local stations. Pretty Fun!
One doesn't come across a collectible radio like this one very often. It is a deep Maroon color with a white tuning knob. The style and colors reeks of the early 50's. The serial number is 153386. The radio electronics has been refurbished and the radio works great. There is a crack in the case on the left side of the radio as shown in the photos. There is also some spotting on the case which does come off or lessen when rubbed with fingernail. The price of this radio has been reduced accordingly.
This radio from the Westinghouse Co. is oftern referred to as the refrigerator top type, as it fit perfectly on top of the refrigerator at that time. Stands 9 in. tall. The base measures 5 x 6 in. Produced in 1945. AM only. I believe the case is of brown bakelite. In working condition. I find no damage.

This radio has been totally repaired and is functioning great! The electronics have been serviced, the light replaced in the dial, the cloth replaced on the speaker front and a new electrical cord has been installed. You will really enjoy the old times with this collector item. It picks up lots of stations with its built-in antenna inside the back cover. The electrical cord wraps around a circle mount inside the rear cover. This portable unit also worked with special batteries (hard to find these days), and the battery plugs are intact and the AC/Battery switch on the back of the electronics is working. This is the old style tube type radio. You have to let the tubes warm up for about 15 to 20 seconds before the radio comes alive. The front cover has a latch like a brief case and when folded up and latched, the unit looks a lot like an old suitcase. The exterior of the radio is in excellent condition as shown in the photos. This Airline brand Model 04WG-668 was made for Montgomery Wards as Airline was their radio brand name. This radio comes with a printout of the electrical schematics of all the electronic parts so if it should ever need repair, you can give the repairman the schematics for easy problem resolution. This radio is unique in that the AM dial is backwards with the small numbered station being on the right and the large number station (1600) being on the left. This radio was made before the standardization practices for dial presentation became reality. What a find! This radio measures approximately 11 inches tall (including handle) by 14 inches wide and 7.5 inches deep.

From the 1940'sthis radio cabinet is from a Sear Silvertone radio. There is no radio for the cabinet. But if you have the radio, this is the cabinet you are looking for. This radio cabinet has been hand-stripped and is ready to be refinished. Just a coat or two of any good varnish, a rub down with 0000 steel wool, and a couple of coats of paste wax and she will be ready to go. All of the paperwork is still stapled inside (see the pictures). There are some darker stains on the top, but they are no serious. They may sand out or you may keep them for character. There are some small areas of missing veneer along the back edge of the cabinet-what would be next to the wall.(I can e-mail pictures of these spots, if requested)
