Of all the buttons I see, the realistics fascinate me the most. This one is a one piece brass metal in the shape of a trio of roses. It measures 1 3/16ths inches in diameter and has an attached round metal shank. There is a touch of verdigris on the back

This handsome two piece brass button measures 11/16ths inches in diameter and has a round wire shank. It is a two piece stamped brass over base metal back in good condition with a very large dollar sign design.

This pair of one piece silvertone metal buttons are very pretty but probably not very old. They measure 1/2 inch in diameter and have a U shaped shank on the back.

This fabulous one piece syrocco button is molded to resemble a pinwheel design. It measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter with a round wire shank. It does have one tiny chip out of the edge of the pinwheel fans.

Wonderful set of 1 1/4 brown plastic buttons.  In excellent condition.

This duo of solid wood buttons are really quite lovely. They are two hole sew thrus measuring 1 1/8th inches in diameter.

This concave button is a two hole sew thru in a clear, colored celluloid. It measures 1 3/8ths inches in diameter and is in very nice condition.

VINTAGE ORANGE GLASS BUTTON WITH PAINTED PATTERN. NO MAKERS MARK. SELF GROOVE SHANK. SMALL CHIP ON THE EDGE. 3/4in WIDE.

BROWN GLASS BUTTON WITH GOLD TRIM AND CENTER CLEAR RHINESTONE. 1 1/8in.SELF SHANK. WIDE. EXCELLENT CONDITION.

GREEN OVAL MOONIE MOONGLOW GLASS BUTTON WITH GOLD TRIM. 1/2in WIDE. SELF SHANK.

This sweet one piece self shank button probably dates to the 1960s. It measures 5/8ths inch tall and is in excellent condition.

This old 2 pieced pressed brass military button probably dates to the second world war or just before given the metal self shank back. It is an eagle design and measures 3/4 inches in diameter. There is a touch of verdigris on the back.

This is one cool button. It is a two piece brass metal with U shaped self shank. It measures 9/16ths inches in diameter and features the Oriental symbol of the Yin and Yang.

Terrific round buttons with such an unusual design.  Buttons are 1 in diameter and in excellent condition.

Can't you just see this on Grandma's church dress, which she made, of course? Actually, you need to picture it as half an impressive buckle - Grandma had to go to the drygoods store to buy this - it is marked Made in Germany on metal back and is surely late 20's or early 30's. Back has the 2 rings for attaching but the hook or clasp is broken off. 2 inches in diameter - great for an advanced button collection.

This sweet vintage glass berry fruit button measures 5/8ths inches tall. It is handpainted and there is a self shank on the back.
