The material of the colors appears to be made out of some type of plastic, not certain what kind. Unused, just has been stored in sewing box. The top group of buttons have like a pin-wheel shape in the center. The buttons at the bottom looks like spoke wheels or a wider pin-wheel version. You normally don't find buttons in this style.
