Whether you collect or sew, this set of 6 silvered plastic shell buttons is a terrific value. The buttons measure 1/2 inch tall with a u shaped shank. They are in MINT unused condition.
This is a fun button for crafts or for a wonderful detail on any outfit. It is a metal-like finish on plastic. On the back is an attached shank. It measures 3/4 of an inch long and 5/8ths of an inch tall.
I am a sucker for enamel buttons. I have put together a tray of those for my own amusement. This was in that tray until recently replaced by something I just had to have! This is a real beauty! It measures 1 1/4 inches in diameter. It is a gilt button with cloisonne' enamel done in soft water color hues. The enameling is just lovely. There is a brass wire shank on the back. There is the smallest bit of chipping at one edge and the button is priced accordingly.
I love buttons but the enamels are my favorite as they are so much like fine jewelry. This button is a beauty! It is a deep rich combination of colors in cloisonne on a brass one piece button. It measures 1 and 3/8ths of an inch in diameter. The back is brass with a brass wire shank.
WOMAN'S FACE BUTTON. SOME KIND OF HARD PLASTIC, VEGETABLE IVORY OR COMPOSITION I CAN'T IDENTIFY. FACE IS STAMPED, SELF GROOVED. APPEARS TO BE DYED. I PUT A HOT NEEDLE IN THE BACK, IT SMOKED AND HAD AN ODOR I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE & LEFT A BROWN SMALL BROWN HOLE. see close up of back. HAS AGE CRAZING & CHIPPING AROUND THE EDGES. BEAUTIFUL CAMEO LIKE WOMAN IN THE MIDDLE. WOULD DATE IT c.1900.

Whether you collect buttons or just like to replace generic ones with buttons that have class, this set of 2 buttons is for you. The golden metal is convex in the detailed shape of a Japanese Lantern. They are heavy fine quality buttons measuring 7/8ths inch tall and 1 3/8ths inches wide. There is a self shank on the back of these hollow buttons.
This neat button was probably the star of whatever item of clothing it decorated. It is a good sized button measuring 3/4 of an inch tall and 1 inch in diameter. The center is accented with two sapphire blue rhinestones. The button is silver pot metal and has picked up that patina of old metal. It may have had something else at the side as I feel a bit of roughness where there might have been an attachment. There is a u shaped metal shank at the bottom.
