Antique patented wood box. Reads: Patented February 19, 1889 on top in oval. Dove-tailed corners; velvet interior. I have another one for sale that has the Singer sewing attachments in it; this one has no attachments in it. The box itself is a wonderful piece of antique wood art if you like primitive well-made boxes/woodenware. It is 3.5 tall x 6.5 wide x 3.5 deep. Great to to use as an ecclectic furniture accessory item or to store other small items in it!
Antique wood needle case, needles and hooks. The needlecase is quite detailed; top comes off by turning. It is 7.5 long; hooks are 6.25 long, (rug hooks?). Very ecclectic antiques! I believe these would be considered: 'treen'. ggau#1410.4/06
Antique Singer sewing attachments box and pamphlet. Very cool oak box; outstanding with or without the sewing attachments! Dovetailed corners and folds out flat and displays the sewing attachments. The box reads: Patented February 19, 1899. I also have a 1904 Singer Sewing Attachment brochure showing the same box on page 2! The paper brochure is quite fragile, but the wooden box is in good condition and is 6.5 long x 3.5 tall x 3.5 deep. A fabulous box just by itself!
