Circa: 1947
Manufacturer: Spaulding China Co.
Vintage Spaulding China vases. c: pre 1947. Both matched vases for one price. Spaulding China, Royal Copley and Royal Windsor are company names that were used interchangeably according to the book. These vases are shown in the book on those companies on pg. 140. These were made by the Spaulding China Co. prior to 1947, and the Spaulding company went out of business in 1957. These lovely vases stand almost 8.5 tall. They are not marked; but many Spaulding and RC vases just had foil labels which came off over time. No chips or cracks; there is some faint crazing and spidering on them. The book calls this line, 'Decal Ware'. They must have applied a decal under the glaze before firing them. One of them has a faint soil ring on the interior as shown; it was probably used for live flowers in its past. They are perfect for each end of a breakfront, mantle or nightstand. So shabby chic! And, if you are crafty, you could turn them into budoir lamps!
