This is a unique, antique block plane, made of all steel construction (much more crack resistant than cast iron), (except for the wood handle) and has a permanently mounted frog with a nice depth control thumb wheel on it, work great! It measures 7.75" long overall, and has a good sharp 1.6" wide cutter. There is most of the paint intact on the bed inside, and the paint on the cap cover and outside bed rails are about 65% intact. The plane is clean, not rusty, flat on the bottom, and works just fine! We've never listed one of this type before, rather rare! The cutter and the bed are not marked. The cutter is plenty long, and tightens down firmly, also seems to be of good quality steel. Different!
