Minnesota's Attic

Circa: circa 1990
Type: Plastic
Country of Origin: TW
Manufacturer: Telco
Pay phones have become a thing of the past, what with all the cell phones out there now why pay for a call? This old 90's pay phone was an owner operated style. The monies collected belonged to only the owner of the phone, not the phone companies. It was commonly used in bars and restaurants that had no public phone handy or wanted to add to their income. This was made by Telco in Taiwan in 1990. It does show scuffs on the plastic ivory outside. The bottom coin box is intact and slides out easily. I also have one with a small brass lock still on it. Also one with a missing coin box and discoloring to one side and face due to smoking is my guess. All three are push button phones by the same maker and era. I can make a deal on more then one. Or see my sale for a black Tang pay station desktop payphone.
