Autobiography of a "woman preacher" whose love for the "little white churches" of New England led her to become minister to seven of them, thus the title of the book. After the death of her husband in 1943, Mrs. Henrichsen studied for the ministry and came to the Coast of Maine eventually softening the hearts of the crusty inhabitants of all 7 communities (Sullivan, Prospect Harbor, Gouldsboro, Ashville, Franklin, Sorrento and North Sullivan) to whom she ministered. This hardcover volume signed by the author is in very good condition despite a somewhat ragged dust jacket. Published in 1953 by Houghton Mifflin and illustrated throughout by William Barss. |
