This colorful mettlach-like stein shows a pair of beer drinking revelers on the front and a Germanesque wooded chalet scene on the reverse. It is marked "Japan" and stands 7" tall and is in great condition, free from cracks or crazing. Not antique but quite a nice vintage collector piece. This type of stein is shown in Gene Florence's books on `Made in Japan' items. |
