Colorful Mettlach-type stein embossed "HEIDELBERG SCHLOSS" features three woodsman seated at a table and an Austrian mountain scene of a cabin with a water wheel. The stein stands 5 1/4" high, is marked "Japan" and is in excellent condition. Although not antique, it is vintage and several examples of this type of stein are pictured in Gene Florence's book on `Made in Japan' items. |
