This is a sterling silver ring with a dark purple stone. It tested as either a sapphire or ruby on my gemtester. The stone is a faceted pear shape. The ring is marked 925. It is a size 9. The stone measures 3/4 of an inch long and 1/2 of an inch wide. Based on my very rough calculations, I believe it is 10-12 carats. There is a rough spot on the stone and it appears that there are some inclusions in the stone. The setting has beads on either side of the bezel set stone. It appears to be a hand made setting. This is a unique ring. It is in very good condition but does have an age patina and may need cleaning or polishing. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by. |
