Circa: 1988 Condition: Used Type: PLATES
There Ought To Be Clowns is the first #1 plate in the Third & latest annual Telephone Pioneers Of America Collector Series. This decidedly unusual plate is in a limited edition of 5000, created in 1988. It is a heartwarming (or creepy, depending on your perception) scene depicting a Community Service holiday visit by the Telephone Pioneers Of America clown troop to a local hospital, convalescent ward or nursing home, as captured by Terry Ward. Hard to tell if the residents are happy or traumatized...@ least 3 in this short - lived & not real popular hard-to-find series. The Pioneers do great work, but maybe this plate is not the best representation? This 1 mint in box w/COA. Great for Clown, Telephone, Philanthropic, Nursing Home, Hospital, Senior & Elderly, Community Service, fear of clowns - coulrophobia mavens, or just plain unique item collectors. Lots more Telephone Pioneers Of America Plates(All On This Site), Mugs, Dolls, Banks, etc, or if we don't have it, we'll gladly track it down for you. Blessed Holidays. |
