Circa: 1900 Manufacturer: Egermann
These beautiful Bohemian glass candleholders were made by flashing crystal glass with ruby and then cutting or engraving a design into the ruby flashing. This glass process has been done for centuries, but this style is best known as bohemian, made in the latter part of the 19th century and into the early 20th century.
Although there is no label, this particular cutting has been attributed to F. Egermann, a prolific maker of this type of glass.
Each candlestick measures 6 3/4" high and 3 3/8" wide at the base.
The ruby flashing is in excellent condition. One of the candleholders has a tiny flake (1/8" wide and 1/16" deep) under the rim, not noticeable and does not detract from the appearance. Otherwise, both candleholders are free of any chips, cracks or discolorations.
