Made by Union Porcelain Works, c. late 1870’s. 4 ¼" d x 7/8"h. High glaze hard porcelain. Raised in relief figure of Gambrinus, King of Beer sitting on a barrel or keg of beer or ale complete with spigot and "UPW" at end of barrel. In one hand he holds a foaming beer mug, in the other hand appear to be the tops of 2 empty mugs (that’s my take on it). Mark on back printed in green under the glaze. No damage, excellent condition. This is a rare piece. (UPW1)
