Opalescent Blown Glass Brides Basket Ornate with applied flowers.
This lovely basket has applied flowers and vine. The flowers are applied to the basket and each flower is done in pinkish coral color flower and clear with yellow flower flower. The lovely looping handle is done in clear and green and looks to have a cracks but, if you look closely it is a striation line of color going straight down in the inner middle of handle part of the making. One of the flowers on the pinkish coral flower has a pontil mark that looks like a chip, but I believe it is just an unground pontil mark like the bottom of basket has.
Height to top of handle 6 inch. Height to highest point on rim 2 3/4 inch. Length across side to opposite side 5 1/4 inch X Width front to back at rim point 5 1/4 inch. Bottom diameter 3 inch. very thin delicate glass. Beautiful estate find. Rare form.
