Also lists 1 Slave at lower right just above the signature of C. Steele, the tax collector of Warren County, [Mississippi]. Endorsed by Mary Oliver on the reverse. Light staining, age toning and wear. Very fine early 1800's tax receipt listing a slave as taxable property.
