Copperton Lane Antiques & Collectibles

Circa: 1958
Country of Origin: JP
Manufacturer: Mid Century Japan Import
This "Wild West Set" dime store toy is from 1950s Japan. The three toys are still attached to the original litho printed card with a cowboys, Indians, and stagecoach scene. Included are a metal whistle (apparently Japan toy producers thought whistles were a thing in the old West), a stamped metal Deputy Sheriff badge, and a toy wristwatch with colorful Western scene and moving hands. Come to think of it, I don't think wrist watches were in common use in the Wild West, either. The colors of the card are faded and there is some minor wear as shown. The unsealed toys show some age wear but appear not to have been played with.
